Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

So after a good metal RF 2009, we all hope that RF will keep up the standards, and please us metal-heads, who if not mistaken are perhabs the most loyal music fans on the festival.

The bands I hope to see at Roskilde 2010 is:

Lamb of God
Mastodon
Metallica
Chimaria
Killswitch Engage
Maylene and The Sons of Disaster
Hatebreed
Megadeath
Every Time I Die
Bloodbath
Tool
Deftones
Meshuggah

And many more...

See you in the pits!

I totally agree!

Saw Metallica, Lamb of God and Mastodon this summer, and that, I would like to experience again!

Though, I also want All That Remains, In Flames and Soilwork. Maybe Children of Bodom or something like that! icon_cool.gif

Any of these would make my festival:

A TEXTBOOK TRAGEDY
CAVALERA CONSPIRACY (if we can't have the old Sepultura, this is just as good)
THE CHARIOT (one of the best live acts I have ever seen)
CHILDREN OF BODOM (have explicitly stated that they WANT to play RF)
CONVERGE
THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN (are they allowed anymore? =D)
ENSLAVED
THE HAUNTED
IMMORTAL (doing festivals in the summer)
IN FLAMES (but on Arena, not Orange, and in in the night)
MESHUGGAH (but this has to happen in the dark)
THE PSYKE PROJECT
TURISAS (if you don't know this band, I urge you to check them out now!)

Most of these have released records within 2009 and/or have announced plans for Euro tours in the summer.

Well, as an incarnated metalhead, I really think Lady Gaga would be a great act for RF 2010 icon_biggrin.gif

But ye, Dillinger Escape Plan would be awesome too.. I was in the pit when they played Odeon 2008.. It was sick!

But really.. Lamb of God smashing Arena would be SICK icon_biggrin.gif

I agree with Johan Borre.

Keep Lamb Of God away though, Jesus Christ they're bad live... I saw them twice with Metallica, not only did they play the same set, they said EXACTLY the same thing at every show. And their attitude seems so misplaced, they had horrible sound issues, and they didn't play very tight. I enjoy their albums on a limited basis however.

I would be more than happy to see lamb of god live. It's my biggest shame as a 16 years old heavy metal fan to have never seen lamb of god live banghead.gif I'd love to see them. Metallica is not preferred for me though. Motorhead or iron maiden as headliner would be perfect for me icon_biggrin.gif

The one reason Lamb of God were "weak", when they played was because of Metallica. Neither Lamb of God or Mastodon were allowed to play on the full set of speakers. It was so clear, that when metallica took the stage, they cranked up the volume. Its the oldest trick in the book actually. Cuz it was a Metallica show, not a Lamb of God or Mastodon show. Ived heared that nor Lamb of God or Mastodon where allowed to use metallicas speakers. They needed to all their own gear with them. So ye, they didn't play up to their top potential, and why should they.. They were only warming up for metallica...

Lamb of God is INSANE live!
