  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

I want havent see Metallica since 2007 and i want them back for next year and i hope Roskilde will book them icon_cool.gif

It is not amather of been negativ or positive. It is amather of wished/and tast. If Metallica is book it takes a headline slots that I want another band to have.
And a forum is not about just posting I want to see X, ok, I want to see Y... if that is all we do.. let just go to facebook and post like the rest. There is more to it then that.
But yes I will see Metallica if they come, just like I watch when play all of the Black Album last summer in Horsens.. but it will make me much more happy if a big rock/metal name I have never seen before is booked so I can see a (for me)new big band

Or just AC/DC, they want to play more festivals icon_cool.gif

my point is just.. it dont give the debat/forum more life that you writes it if there is no news.. you have more then 1 time in this tread said you want them, and that is fine, but why keep on saying it? I dont understand that....

Bands I really would like to see at Roskilde next year.

Tool, they are playing OzzFest next year, so they are on the road again.
Deftones, great live band, preferably on Arena
God Seed, just released a great album, and are playing some of the best Gorgoroth songs as well.
Rage Against The Machine. Haven't seen them since the 90's
Agalloch, on tour next year, and they would be perfect for one of the smaller stages.
Nachtmystium, also just released a great album
Enslaved. Time to get them back to Roskilde
Blood Tsunami, just because they're friends of me, and I would love to see them at Roskilde.
Aura Noir, the worlds ugliest band icon_smile.gif
Procession, very good Doom band from Chile.
Nekromantheon, released a great album this year, if you like Celtic Frost, Sodom etc you will love them.

and (not metal though) Neil Young playing for three hours with Like a Hurricane for 30 minutes icon_smile.gif icon_smile.gif

Actually don't want either Metallica or AC-DC, both great bands that I love, but they are waaaay too expensive and it's better with lots of smaller metal bands than just one huge.

Thoughts on Volbeat and QOTSA being the heavy headliners? While they're a couple of rock solid names for the Orange stage, they also kinda rule out another metal (read: "truer" metal headliner), don't they? Unless the festival is going for one of those rare years with nine headliners as opposed to seven or eight.

Let s wait and see. In 2003 at Roskilde played Metallica, Iron Maiden and Queens Of The Stone Age.
I hope we will get some good metal/hard rock/ rock headliner

Can´t see Roskilde going back to the 9 headliners this year, because it´s hard to figure even 7 bands that could headline. Not so many big names around any more. Sigur Rós, Volbeat and QotSA are quite cheap for headliners, so I wouldn´t be so suprised if they would spend their money on some real big gun. In that case, only AC/DC comes to my mind..

Yes, but that was also one of the few years with nine headliners, so the headliner-lineup didn't turn lop-sided from all that heaviness. Also, Zwan cancelled because Billy Corgan more or less broke up the band at that point. I can't remember if we got another name to replace them.

Yes. Don't expect other metal-headliners. If Rammstein was supposed to play Roskilde they had been announced at the time where they released the other tourdates last month. As far as I know Slipknot will be unique at Download in 2013. By now I can only see Deftones as a band who could be headliner-material for Roskilde 2013. Or at least play the Orange Stage.

What? QOTSA and Volbeat not "true" metal headliners? Just because they don't growl the lyrics and can actually make a nice melody does not mean they are not metal. I get that especially Qotsa does some other stuff than metal, but Black Sabbath also did some softer and more experimental stuff. Even with Ozzy.

So both worthy metal headliners to me. Deftones would be the icing on the cake, with Amon Amarth as subliner (which should prove that I don't mind other types of singing or harder stuff)

If Copenhell doesn't announce them tommorrow I guess Down could be a big metal name at Roskilde? The concert was awesome in 2009 and they have gotten a lot of great reviews for their EP

QOTSA is not metal.. you can call it hard rock, alternative rock and so on.. but it is rock, in the hard end, but rock. And that is not bad it is great.

But if hey if they gives us some great hard rock/metal subheadliners, I will be happy for that also

QOTSA isn't metal. I like QOTSA a lot but to call it metal is like calling Rammstein dancehall.

Ever hopeful that the Roskilde bookers will realize Six Feet Under with iconic front man Chris Barnes (who created Cannibal Corpse as well) is one of the best selling and most consistent death metal acts on the scene today.

I see this as heavy ass shit. I know not all they do is, but wont you guys put this stuff under metal?

I definitely agree they are not dominantly metal, but I think they should be a legit hard headliner. The more I think about it, I will go along with not calling them a metal headliner and will join the chorus for more big metal names icon_wink.gif

I see you guys agree about Volbeat at least icon_smile.gif

Alright, that's pushing it a bit, but I concede they are not a dominantly metal band icon_wink.gif

Are you sure Volbeat will be a headliner?
They have just announced 5 other concerts in Denmark, and I always thought that RF's headliners would play Roskilde as their only concert, but Volbeat is also playing other danish concerts including Copenhagen and Ringsted.
If Slipknot maybe joins Qotsa tomorrow there will still be two heavy headliners already.

Volbeat is a definite headliner in my book. Mew and Nephew also played other Danish shows when they headlined Roskilde. Volbeat subheadlined in 2009 and certainly hasn't shrinked in popularity since.

I thought at least Mew last year was a RF exclusive, and I think it devaluates a headliner, that you also can see them in a city like Ringsted.

But if Volbeat is a headliner (which I also thought until I announced other concerts), then there could be three hard headliners by tomorrow, and then it seems unlikely that any other big metal or hardrock name will be announced.
