Mogwai are playing at Rock Werchter.
I know they played last year, but they hadnt released their last record yet. Half of the set were unreleased songs so it ruined the gig a little bit.
I think RF shold book them. I think many postrock fans would buy a ticket becasue of Mogwai in combination with Mono.

Face it Mogwai are boring live. Mono is probably a much better booking!
(Don't get me wrong I LOVE Mogwai on their albums)

Talk about it! I was a little late for the show but was supprised to see that the pit was still open when I got there. I found out why when I got in!

I did the exact same thing, just to regret it later. That was probably the worst concert I saw last year, just because of the really really loud sound.

I was standing with the fence in the back just opposite the toilets at the far left. I had looked forward to that show, but it sounded almost nothing like their records...always thought such loud'ness to be totally unnessecary.
Did'nt help that my friend felt pretty ill at that point either, hmm.

My Bloody Valentine, they played pure noise for maybe 30 minutes, we went fucking crazy, tried to scream louder than the music almost the whole time which was impossible, i couldnt hear anything else than all those noises, even when the concert was over, i went into some sort of trance, and i absolutely loved the loundness!

Exactly! I had the same experience.. Couldn't take it all in
Mogwai was fucking badass live. Really liked their show even though I only saw 'bout half an hour.

would rather have them to save the money for some hard rock / rock n roll acts, say Airbourne (:

It was the best concert last year. I guess you should have been there from the start. Mogwais music dosen't hit you immedietly. You have to let your body and mind take it all in for awhile. Then it's like heaven (or hell if you perfer that)
Mono will be great this year!

Mogwai was amazing last year! it was so incredibly intense, i had goosebumps and tears in my eyes during the entire set, and i was in a mogwai trance for many hours afterwards. Mogwai is known to play loud, you could have used earplugs.

Well that depends.. I really enjoyed Mogwai's performance last year, but i was also kinda stoned.. So I guess it's pretty much about your attitude to the concert..
