Quick guide for the search

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

I'm dead exited about next weeks poster release, I don't know how I will survive icon_biggrin.gif

As far as I can see we will only have 15 pavilion Junior/Apollo Countdown names announced next Thursday and that is way less compared to last year when we got a few Junior names and the entire Countdown line up.

So we got more "established" acts announced than last year including a handful of Orange and Arena names if my stage line up in the other thread is correct.

I don't got the correct number but there is around 100 bands left to be announced and we usually see around 80 of them on the poster day and 20 later on in May and June.

Very excited about that day! It's always a blast. Btw, have anyone gotten an invitation for the pressrelease in Vega, just like last year? Would be awesome to attend one more time!

There isn't a physical event to attend at all. It's all via the internet.

Funny I thought that it was supposed to be revealed at the road trip in Malmö but that is perhaps just the live feed that they would be watching?

Really excited. Was bummed out first when I though it would go down on Friday as I couldn´t have watched it then. Realized yesterday it´s actually on at Thursday so one happy camper here.

Can´t really figure out how they´re gonna fill Orange and Arena this year, but personally I don´t mind that much. Although balanced line-up is naturally the best choice, I don´t mind spending more time on smaller stages. The problem here is that if they have to put smaller bands in bigger half empty stages.

Hmm, the facebook-admin just commented on a post a couple of weeks ago, saying it would be at Vega. They must have changed their minds then!
And it's at 9pm.. unusual... But I'm sure a lot more people will follow this now

I can't remember one single poster release where I haven't been underwhelmed. Perhaps this will be different, but I won't get my hopes up icon_cool.gif

I wouldn't expec a lot of headliners besides the ones already booked, probably one 'solid' headliner now and then a big headliner announced later.

In generel I expect more quantity than quality, based on last years posterrelease and the fact, that I think RF will promote their most interesting bookings by presenting on their own instead of having them being part of a list of 100 names.

But of cause I hope for interesting names.

I expect both quality and quantity, no matter what size the bands are. Need 15-20 more interesting names and I´m good to go.

The quantity will obviously be there and quality is subjectively, but this year it seems that most bands announced so far has something special to offer and if not all, then fans of the given genre seems quite happy about the booking. So not a lot of 'fillers' has been announced. I don't expect the posterrelease to match that level of unique bookings based on the experience from the last two years poster releases.
There will undoubtable be bands I like to see, but I expect them mostly to be among the safe bookings and the genres I usually like.
But I'm only guessing and after yhe posterrelease I will be much wiser. But on the other hand I already have plenty too see, so everything new will be a bonus.

When did this ever happen at the big release?

Interesting bands or not but we still need some bands to fill up Orange and Arena.

If my guessings are right in the stage thread then we need 8 bands for the Orange stage (including opening act), 7 for the Arena stage (8 if Marie Key is indeed the opening act on Orange).

The line up at the smaller stages are more harder to guess because its hard to say if a band is big enough for Odeon and Cosmopol or if they will perform at the smaller Gloria and Pavillion stages.
but Odeon are missing up to 16 out out of 24 bands in total and Cosmopol up to 21 bands out of 29 bands.
There is still 7 electronic acts left for the Apollo stage so there should be some plesant surprices there.

I´m not that picky. Sure, there´s gonna be fillers and bands I don´t care about. But 80 bands is quite a bunch and there will be lots of hidden gems to be found. Have faith, brother!!

Yeah if one can't find 15 to 20 interesting names out of 80 then they have to be very kræsen (can't remember the English word picky or something).

But if interesting equals well known and big names or only looking at one genre then it will be hard to find them but i like alot of music and can find the joy in even the smallest letter band.

But they always saves some suprises for the day when poster will be out. Last year when we get poster was Jack White and The Cult at the day when poster was out and i remember in 2010 it was The Prodigy and Patti Smith when posters was out. So lets wait and see icon_cool.gif

I apologize, I was thinking a bit on the side of what the discussion is about. If only interesting bands, leaving out "fame", then I agree.

As for you word "kræsen" you can indeed use picky but it isn't very elegant. "Hard to please" would be better icon_wink.gif

Okay then we are on the same page about interesting.

personally I found concerts at the smaller stages to be my highlights every year so honestly I don't care who's performing at the Orange Stage as long as my daily schedule is filled up.

As long as Roskilde don't book some lame has been's like Guns n' Roses I don't care who the big letter names are but I'm actually looking forward to Kraftwerk and I will most likely also go to the Rihanna Concert to see what's all the fuss is about (and check out them girls)

btw it was not to be rude, I was just lost in translation icon_biggrin.gif
