Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

New album just out and looks to start an European tour in early July with very few dates confirmed.

One of the best bands in my book looks to be available for a subliner slot and can't be that expensive when Øystese (small, small town in Norway) can afford them. They have definitely not played RF too many times either....

Can easily handle The Orange with their vast experience playing big stages all over the place.

What do you guys think?

I'm with you on this one even though I'm a bigger fan of BJM (but they play elsewhere in Denmark right before Roskilde). I fondly remember that The Dandies played the yellow stage (now Odeon) in 2001. Good show, albeit a bit short. As I understood it, it was the last show on the stage that Sunday, so they weren't allowed a lengthy encore.

I don't think they are the most obvious Orange stage band. I'd place them on Odeon or Arena.

Not the most obvious, but a cheap option and I think they will pull enough people for a 17.00 spot.

IMO off course, they have been off the radar for a while. The new album might change that

Arena would be best, no question but the festival needs bands to play the big O icon_wink.gif. Certainly no Odeon band.

Do they even have an audience anymore? The last couple of album are dreadful. Definetly has-beens in my book. And they where really lousy at Roskilde 2001. Posers with a few decent songs in their back catalouge.

Hopefully Roskilde have a few better cards with rock n roll up their sleeves.

A few decent songs? Really? Posers? Yeah, give me a break

No, the last couple of albumes are not dreadful, they just don't live up to their great back catalogue. And I am listening to the new one, it sounds pretty good to me.

Maybe their glory days are over, but definitely worth a spot at Arena this year.

I'd book them and put them on Arena in the daytime if I were Roskilde. The last couple of albums weren't me at all, but I'd probably see them if they showed up.
