Quick guide for the search

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

System of a Down just announced a North American tour in august! Could it be possible that they would also do some shows in Europe before august??

We are definitely missing a metal headliner and SOAD would fill that gap just nicely icon_smile.gif

If Roskilde has the money, it's not impossible for them to convince SOAD to come. I doubt it however.

Well Roskilde had the money for Prince after the poster release two years ago so there's gotta be a lot of it still left. Not to mention Faith No More in 2009... I doubt it too but this forum is for rumours, hopes and wishes so I'll keep doing just that

I think you'll find that there isn't quite as much left this time, considering they've already booked Bruce Springsteen. He probably takes up a good chunk of the budget.

Still some pretty impressive names added late to last year's lineup. Something similar would definitely make this year's lineup quite a decent one.

True, and I don't think that just because Bruce has been booked, we won't get another headliner - remember Prince in ´10. At least I hope for another headliner, considering there are so many in the neighbourhood.

I'm overly convinced that we'll see another headliner this year... however to convince SOAD to start their tour before for maybe this one date in Europe, would demand impressive persuasion skills as well as a good chunk of money. It's not impossible, if this is Roskilde's main wish, I just doubt it, and I think they'll spend the money on something in the neighbourhood already.

Pretty much a given this. People shouldn't expect something extraordinary, but they can hope for something safe and nice (which isn't nescecarily a bad thing icon_wink.gif )

Well who expected Prince in 2010?? I dont think that anyone saw that coming icon_smile.gif But yeah, Im not expecting anything. Just hoping for something awesome to make the line-up complete...

In 2010 they didn't have anyone like Bruce clogging the budget?
I also hope for something awesome- but I think they need to be clever with budget restraints.

We'll see what they come up with, more Orange bands are badly needed to balance the programme and for some bands not to have to play there IMO

They had Gorillaz, Muse and The Prodigy which must have been quite expensive. This year we have 3 headliners that must have been pretty cheap. I think we could get something big still

Not even close to Bruce, Bjørk and The Cure I would think. Bruce taking about 50% of that. I can't see The Prodigy and Gorillaz being more expensive than The Cure and Bjørk, and Bruca is certainly more expensive than Muse who probably was that years most expensive.

Just don't expect too much is all I am saying icon_wink.gif

With Gorillaz being an exclusive (there were only one other festival with them on the line-up, not counting Glastonbury, as they wouldn't have played there if U2 hadn't cancelled), they can not have been cheap icon_smile.gif I think they have been somewhere in between The Cure and Bruce, price-wise.

The Mars Volta
The National
The Editors
Depeche Mode
Tool
A Perfect Circle.

If they pulled of Depeche Mode then it would be just as big a signing as Prince.

UNISONIC FOR THE FUCKING WIN!!! YES! Finaly a guy beside me asking for this! The band of the year. I don't know how many times I've listen to their promo-album before I made the interview with the guys for Blastbeast.dk

Unisonic is amazing! Finaly Kai + Kiske back together again since early Helloween!

I'm hoping for Kiss http://blastbeast.dk/?p=3381

already a very good line-up this year.

add one of these and that would make it a perfect one for me:

Noel Gallagher (7.7. T in the park, 6.+8.7. free)
Pulp (6.7. Ruisrock, 5.+7.7. free)
Stone Roses (same a Noel)

I would like a big indierock act like Franz Ferdinand, pulp or similar, a solid subliner in the same genre and a solid hardrock/metal subliner.
If I get these, they can add twelve mongolian fusionjazz bands to the last spots if they like.

Don't mind him. There is him and a few others. Don't conform either. Speak your mind, and stick up for yourself. Some people like to have childish snipes at others (especially at those who wont say halleluja all the time), but either ignore or give back as good as you get.

You're welcome. I first started really taking an interest to everything happening around Roskilde on the social mediums in '11 or '10. Before that I didn't really know anything about the mechanics of booking artists but just went to see whoever showed up on the poster.

With just four post it's fair to assume, that he hasn't spent much time on this forum, and if he plans to go to Roskilde, why should he study the programme at Northside.
I also believe that policy that the danish festivals don't share their artists is quite unofficial, since I have only seen it mentioned on the fora.

So your outburst is really totally uncalled for.

The forum, facebook, what ever. that is much more then the forum. The festival have sayied go out and find interview whit Rikke if you dont belive me. He posts dates to show he know what he is speaking about.

If you post the same crap as a million other and dont know you shit, expect to get flames, that is the way of life. Know what your are speaking about before you speak

I always get this, but only from a certain type of people- the insecure and immature.

If you take notice, I have my views and I try to back them up with arguments. You know that word? Arguments? I've never said: This is how it is, period. I say this is how it is (and trust the normal readers to understand that I know I can only speak for myself) and then back it up with facts and opinions.

There is no doubt that I try to convince people about what I am saying, the same like other people who can string together posts based on their own opinions but have a different view.

I can't remember I have bullied anyone, especially if they haven't been asking for it themselves. I wont deny I give as good as I get, and I might be short tempered (AD/HD and all) but my output is to discuss the opinions and not the person behind it.

Your behavior here though- that behavior is totally uncalled for and very unfriendly. Now, you can turn the criticism around and start pointing at me and others who call you out on it, but that puts you back in the insecure and immature category.
