Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

So! We're all still a bit high after the poster release, some are happy, some are angry, but all in all people are seeming to be very impressed.

BUT! There is ALWAYS room for a little more.. If we assume there is 10-12 more acts to be announced, who do you think will be released and WHY they need to be there?

I for one think the lineup needs more hardcore, and Roskilde loves a crazy live act, so I think Letlive. would fit in perfectly! AND they are on a festival tour in Europe.

Go!! - And remember to be reasonable!

An act like Wolfmother would be pretty obvious in my mind. They are only booked on friday, were they play in the UK. I would personally be pretty satisfied with them joining the line-up.

Would love to see letlive. live. There are better hardcore-acts out there, IMO, but they are hyped (fits Roskilde's profile, i.e. Kvelertak last year) and as of what I've heard, they sure deliver.

Still waiting for The Dillinger Escape Plan, though icon_wink.gif

I did some calculation using last years schedule and for Avalon i was using Cosmopols schedule and found 127 concert slots.

Instead of the Numbers label night i just took the friday schedule and the hiphop show with Action Bronson etc took up 2 additional slots (18:00 and 20:00)

Totally there are 120 names announced so maybe will see 7 more acts announced.

I also think that a band from the retro-rock-revival movement would be great - like Kadavar from Germany! One of the best live acts I've ever witnessed and they can't be that expensive!

But did she? There´s an ongoing speculation over that subject... She was at least an hour late and don´t there was a lot of people attending if she did finally play at about 4 am.

Ok. Since my danish is a bit rusty I didn´t quite understand if there were any people on that showin the audience. I left after waiting for about an hour and there was about 15 people in Cosmopol then.

Elbow!

I still have hard time to realize that there's no Elbow in the poster AGAIN! they've been around almost every year and Roskilde do not book them for some reason. Yeah they played 2009 which was great concert, but that's now 5 years ago.. and the they've been more popular year by year!

Even though Roskilde has signed some pretty good electronic acts - especially Moderat and Kavinsky - I still miss a concert with a club-like feel to it. My best concert memory to this date is the 2009 2ManyDJs show on Cosmopol and I would really love to see those guys back. They play at Blissfields in the UK either Friday the 4th or Saturday the 5th but so does Sleigh Bells. Can't be THAT expensive and they would ensure one heck of a party.

I am still wondering what happened to CHVRCHES. Seemed like the most obvious booking to me.

This seals it – she's playing in Copenhagen 18th of July. Apparently Mø also guested her show at Roskilde last year icon_eek.gif

Kodaline - Seems like an inevitable breakthrough is on it's way, and Roskilde would book them at the exact perfect time! Saw them at Pukkelpop, where they made magic in the middle of the day. Playing Werchter
Biffy Clyro - Give them the Orange Stage and make them do the rest. They are nearby and Roskilde needs to get while they still are touring Opposites
The Dillinger Escape Plan - The owe us and will be playing Germany during Roskilde
Trivium - The too are playing Germany doing Roskilde, and haven't had a danish date since their new record, which they usually have.
Sabaton - Seems to be in negotiation with Roskilde
Bombay Bicycle Club - Same as the above
Sam Smith - Are nearby and seems to be one of those artists that Roskilde needs to get before he reaches Frank Ocean-status. Just look at his latest performance at SNL. Amazing!
Reignwolf - Playing Werchter and has been on a roll for quite some time now. Don't miss out on this. Touring with Black Sabbath right now.
Foster The People - Last time they were in Denmark, they completely convinced me. Haven't had a date in DK for the new record, so let that be Roskilde!

Yes I totally agree with you! They would be amazing subliner. Like you said, that they have been only once in Roskilde and also free dates around Roskilde.
Every album has been critically acclaimed and their popularity has gone up constantly. New album is also great.

Gallows just announce some shows. Couple of days open. They haven't released any new music since 2012 though.

Opeth. New album out June 17th. Would also compensate a bit for the lack of metal acts.

They were very good in Coachella. They´re in France in the 4th of July and in Switzerland July 6th, so fingers crossed.

They're playing Northside Festival, so that kinda explains their absence from the Roskilde lineup. I guess Hookworms, Spids Nøgenhat and Moodoïd are their "replacements" in the Roskilde roster.
