  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

That would be a reunion with their stage from the 1976 concert at Knebworth

well, almost...

From Roskilde stage description:

Orange Stage – more than 30 years under the canopy
Orange Stage is the symbol of Roskilde Festival and has been so since 1978. The orange canopy was originally designed in the UK for The Rolling Stones’ summer tour in 1976. The present canopy, however, is a new and larger version from 2001.

Yes i know the current one is a newer and bigger version, I was just being a little bit romantic about the old times.

On FB Roskilde replied, that it's just a rumour, so it seems that they are not about to announce them in the near future. Could still happen this year though.

I really hope this rumours is true. Rolling Stones would be the perfect headliner for Roskilde.

I´m a bit dissapinted at myself that I already have bought a Sweden Rock ticket instead of a Pinkpop ticket who is the same weekend and have an killer line-up this year with Stones, Metallica, Artic Monkeys, Gogol Bordello, Flogging Molly.

So please don´t miss to book Stones. Would love if Googol Bordello also could be booked again.

I think Christina said a little than intended in the interview, with her closing comment: "you have to wait and see the 2 april". Since that is just the poster release and the booking period isn't over by that time, the only way we would know anything by that time, would be if they were booked for the releaseposter (or before).

Maybe...

That was it! I just bought my ticket.

I won't be disappointed if The Stones are not booked after all, because I'm going no matter what, but I won't risk waiting too long. If they are coming, I expect the tickets to sell out pretty fast afterwards.

If I get to see them, then I only have one must-see name left on my list and that is AC/DC. Otherwise I have seen all the big ones that I simply have to see. icon_razz.gif

I was also thinking maybe something before. If Stones will come it will be the biggest show ever @ Roskilde i think icon_cool.gif

I was off course talking about April icon_smile.gif

But it was a bad joke anyway, in recent years the earliest sold outs has been in the start of June.

I think most of the audience wasn't born, whn they started their farewell tours.

My first thought was that Rolling stones wasn't the band I wanted RF to spend 10mio kr on, but now I'm started to getting excited about this rumour, since this might be quite good, and they will not be around forever.

Yeah The Stones are Legends and to see them in concert is like a see the history of rock n roll.

From Stones fan site iorr.org
Now we have a posible tour in South America in October/November, according to the Argentinean producer Daniel Grinbank (the same guy of the previous tours here in 1995, 1998 and 2006) the Stones are expected to play in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia and Perú in October/November and most important: THIS TOUR ENDS THIS YEAR, the band will not play in 2015 because their crew is going on tour with U2 and AC/DC next year. Rolling Stones this year and i hope AC/DC next year icon_cool.gif

Apparently Roskilde has a budget reserve if big bands like the Rolling Stones or RATM is available.
This was told by a music agent (not affiliated with Roskilde) in the radio.

So its very likely that they cost 20 millions but not all of the money is from the 44 million music budget.

I would have guessed that they had a maxprice that they would pay for a band (at around 10mio dkr), like Glastenbury alligitaly have a max price of 1mio pound (which I believe they f.ex paid for Rolling Stones last year).
Personally I could accept paying 10mio dkr for Rolling stones as the super headliner, but not 20mio dkr (no band is that good).

As a nonprofit organisation, it should be a challenge to manage this extra budget, since the extra money really only could be taken from their profit (especially with late bookings like Metallica and Prince).
