Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

I'm sorry, but Metallica, AC/DC, Kings of Leon, The Killers, (MGMT), (The Ting Tings) and Fat Boy Slim can more or less be ruled out as they either played Roskilde last year and/or are playing gis at other venues/festivals in Denmark throughout the summer.

Prodigy, Blur, Daft Punk and Manic Street Prechers seems like likely bookings on the other hand. Because they played small venues last year, MGMT and Ting Tings are'nt impossible either. I think.

the black keys would be great. but the singer just released a solo album, so this is doubtful...

No they will tour in 2010/11.

"Daft Punk will not be touring in 2009. Per their press release due to a fake concert scam in China they will be touring in 2010 or 2011 worldwide"

Oh, The Killers are playing in Norway at Hove.
Crap. I don't think they'll bother coming to Roskilde since they were there, what, 2 years ago?

I would love having Snow Patrol, Justice, Kings of Leon and actually all the bands you listed up Haraldur. Maybe we get lucky and get some of them, at least?

Either way, I think the bandlist this year is better than last year.
I only watched like two bands I liked last year.
Coldplay, Slipknot and Oasis are good. I can't wait till they drop the list at 16 of April. They say they're gonna release 130 new bands that day!

You think so? I like them a lot, and enjoyed the concert last year but in reference to the "please-not-2-years-in-a-row-on-Orange" which supplies for EVERY act there is, I think its a good thing that they are'nt invited this year. I do hope they'll rejoin us next year though.

Now get Blur or something else fantastic!

I do agree on that, I'm just beeing a bit selfish because I was foolish enough to miss them last year... banghead.gif

I saw Animal Collective yesterday, and it was mind-blowing.

They are touring the US until Bonnaroo, mid June, and are said to be touring Europe again during the summer, before they go to Asia in August and later on.

there is always tons of these rumours.. Last year was a great opportunity to get huge acts.. This is the biggest problem about Roskilde.. They are always aiming after smaller artists who will grow big.. I think this year is almost as good as last year.. These acts are found on European Festivals or with upcomming albums:

Korn
Limp Bizkit (not a fan - but I think they would be hilarious (+ together with Korn seems to be a great oppotunity for a featuring concert))
Blur
Metallica
AC/DC
The Prodigy
Marilyn Manson
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
The Killers
Eminem
Dr. Dre
Nas
Katy Perry
Lady Gaga
Moby
Jane's Addiction
Bruce Springsteen
Faith No More
Def Leppard
Motley Crue
Dream Theater
Hatebreed
Devildriver
Flogging Molly
Killswitch Engage
The Kooks

All of these could be great additions to Roskilde Festivals line-up.. And just some of these could probably sell out the festival in no time..
