Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Probably not ZZ Top and Bloc Party as they are playing other "major" Danish festivals this summer, Jelling and Skive respectively.

I saw Animal Collective yesterday, and it was mind-blowing.

They are touring the US until Bonnaroo, mid June, and are said to be touring Europe again during the summer, before they go to Asia in August and later on.

BOOK!

Okay okay, they actually allready play at Fuji Rock Festival which takes place between July 24. and 26. The gap from the North American tour to the Asian tour (which I guess it will be) is rather small, but I still hope!

I know, but that has not prevented Roskilde to book the bands.. Bob Dylan, Metallica, Slipknot, Coldplay etc. has all played, or will play at Roskilde even when they have a concert in Denmark..

Haha.. I actually think they would get a bigger crowd with Kraftwerk signed than The Black Crowes for example icon_razz.gif

Furthermore I think some of those would be great and probably realistic:

Blur
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Korn
Limp Bizkit
Eminem
The Prodigy
Dream Theater
Marilyn Manson
Metallica
Katy Perry
Lady Gaga
Motley Crue
Hatebreed
U2

GWAR is playing at Wacken this summer. If Roskilde were to get them, I'd be the happiest little boy on the planet.

Turisas, Motörhead, Testament, and Napalm Death would also be worthwhile bands to steal from Wacken. But before you even THINK of getting those, you must get GWAR first.

U2 is playing in Barcelona 30 of june, and in Milan 7 of july.
So there might be room for a couple of Festival gigs in between.

Just adding these to the list, since I notticed no one else did: Bon Iver is in Europe af the time. Since he is an upcomming artist with very good reviews, it might be a shot. 'The whitest boy alive' just released a new album, and they have said on their Myspace page, that they actually wish to play at roskilde.

Bon Iver for me would be the best booking this year... or else i have to go to Way Out West in Gothenbourg.
