Quick guide for the search
- Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
- Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
- Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

That's pretty weird... I can modify my messages in the Off Topic section of the board, but not here. That's racism! |

As much as I like Michael personally, I prefer his previous band Dominus over Volbeat. And they have played Roskilde recently. Not that interresting. Much more interesting would be to get Saturnus, the ultimate doom metal band in the world, and which played last in 1997 to an amazing concert. They have released 2 (soon 3) masterful albums since that each is a milestone in doom metal. And they should get Six Feet Under, Chris Barnes' (former Cannibal Corpse lead) groovy death metal band, that originally set out to explore a brand new type of sound in death metal, something which Gojira and other have succesfully copied since but it would be great to hear the "real deal". And we already have the single best signing at Roskilde this year, Amon Amarth, a band that has been on my Roskilde wishlist for 5 years straight. The absolute pinnacle of the genre called nordic metal. |

I know Volbeat has been to the festival twice but they have a new album out (again!) and the deserve a good evening/night slot on Orange this year. |

It's funny how you put a slash between doom and death metal, it's not the first time I see it but one genre is slow melodic and melanconic and the other is fast violent and hectic. They almost couldn't be further apart. |

Listen to "I long" at http://www.myspace.com/saturnus , that sort of embodies the genre in one single song. [This article was edited 1 times, at last 10.03.2009 at 16:28.] |

You seem keen to the scene, so I'll be upfront with you... what's the difference between doom and sludge? Technically I guess sludge would be a subgenre to doom metal but the most important difference is format I guess. Sludge songs in general always have at least one passage in almost every song with higher speed aggresive style and much more distorted guitar and shouted lyrics. Sludge is also more "punky" than the normally "bluesy" doom. Doom metal is an extremely large genre with 10s of subgenres. I guess that's what I find interesting about metal music in general. It's basically the ONLY type of music that experiements in style and sound. Metal is the new jazz, the only genre that takes masterful musical skill and talent to get any acclaim or fame.
