mandag 18.06.12 Donate Your LEGO men to Roskilde FestivalThe new LEGO copy of the Orange Stage is built by Roskilde fan Morten Øberg, who has spent half a year and 50.000 LEGO bricks on the reproduction of the festival’s landmark. The model is down to the last detail with toilets, audience pit system in front of the Orange Stage, queues by the food stalls etc. On the Orange Stage the Danish rock band Volbeat is playing, and the LEGO stage setup is an exact reproduction of the real stage setup that the band used on their tour in 2011. In front of the stage is an audience made of 200 LEGO people. BUT – they are only on loan. Therefore we need to collect as many LEGO men as possible to our future exhibition of the stage. If you are the happy owner of a LEGO man or two - which you can spare and want to donate to our new stage and exhibition - then drop by Hal 45 and deliver them there during the festival. During the festival the LEGO stage will be exhibited as part of a new initiative called “Roskilde Retro”. There you can admire the LEGO stage as well as old festival posters and other effects from all the festival years. Roskilde Retro is located in Hal 45 and open during the festivaldays (5-8 July) for all festival-goers. If you have any questions, please write to: info@roskilde-festival.dk Photos: Mathias Bojesen | ![]() 14,000 LEGO pieces have been used to make the Orange Stage alone. See larger image below. |
