Get ready for a mouth-watering festival
Low-budget wine tasting, grilled pig, juice and porridge workshops. Take a break between the concerts and wake up your taste buds.
Under the headline 'More Than Eating' we present the most extensive and exciting food event programme in the history of the festival. This means extraordinary eating experiences that will take you on a culinary break from camp food and canned beers.
Prepare your taste buds with this sneak peak of a few of the highlights:
- Low-budget wine tasting
Can hot and cheap wine taste just fine, and can wine actually be enjoyed at 27 degrees Celsius. We kick-start the ‘More Than Eating’ programme Thursday night ,5 July, with a fun session of low-budget wine tasting. Wine-bloggers Marc and Lars serve Bag-in-a-Box and ‘cardboard’ wine sampels.
- Porridge for the early birds
Wake up to steaming hot (and homemade) porridge. The two young owners of the restaurant GRØD bring one of the hottest breakfast trends at the moment to the hung-over festival crowd. And you will make it yourself – the porridge is prepared in small groups, and you are a part of the entire process from milling the grain, stirring the porridge and choosing the right topping. Get all the secret tips for this Nordic and healthy breakfast treat from the experts!
- Grilled pig
Saturday night, Martin ‘Guf’ Becker Rasmussen and Teitur Christensen from Copenhagen’s famous Meatpacking district restaurant Nose2Tail open a pop-up restaurant at Roskilde, where they will dish up grilled pig and tell tall tales during the dinner. The pig is parted out in the open show kitchen a day in advance. Here you can learn about the different cuts and how to use them in your own cooking.
