Rethink Roskilde is the place where we invite you into our laboratory. We present our dreams and ambitions and invite you to take part in the ongoing discussion of how we can move Roskilde Festival forward. We don’t believe that we can pull it off alone. We depend on you inspiration, critical questions, new ideas and provocative challenges.

Can we invent some really cool technology that no-one thought of before? Could we build a better city? How do we co-create Roskilde Festival? What should be on the menu for 2013? Can we turn trash into gold?

Each year we build a festival that is the fifth largest city in Denmark. Building a temporary city is like building a huge playground for experimenting with new ideas and concepts in full scale.

At Roskilde Festival we work 365 days a year creating this city. We try to stretch the limits of what is possible and to develop new ideas and solutions so that Roskilde Festival is not “just” a festival for inspiring music from all over the world. It is also a festival that rethinks sustainability, co-creation, urbanity, technology and society at large.
