The first live show will air Sunday July 1st at 9 am, and will be on air until Sunday July 8th where the last show will end at 10 pm.
We’re sending from the open studio in Radio City by Agora G – stop by!
You can also hear the festival radio on www.roskilde-festival.dk and stay up to date on our Facebook-page www.facebook.com/RoskildeFestivalradio
The program for 2012 looks as follows:
9 am-12 noon The Three MaybeFour
Tune in every morning as Roskilde Festival Radio wakes you up with healing morning coffee and the latest news from both the festival grounds and the real world. We’ll get the day off to a proper start and knock on the tents of those with difficulties getting out of bed.
12 noon – 2 pm Orange County
This show turns every rock – even the one covered in urine by the fence. We’ll cover the stories of the festival, from the chairmen of the board to the inside of your tent canvas. Turn on your hearing aid and your radio or come down to the studio and feel the spark of investigative journalism and 'radio within reach' colliding.
2 pm – 4 pm Two Rounds of Heavy
Two Rounds of Heavy are the two blackest hours of Roskilde Festival – for those molding their party in solid metal! Each day, we’ll guide you through the trends in time bringing you show recommendations, band portraits and competitions. We’ll have bands in the studio every day and take closer looks at metal from all over the world. And of course we’ll play something with SLAYER!
4 pm – 6 pm The English Dandies
Returning by Royal Appointment for the third consecutive year, The English Dandies are back to keep radio sexy. As RFR’s only English show, the Dandies spread global love, hygge vibes and plenty of orange feeling, with as much nudity as possible. Special guests include Rihanna, Yogi Bear & Bill Murray, probably. Tally-Ho!
6 pm – 8 pm The Ministry of Sound
The Ministry of Sound is the musical bouillon cube of the festival radio. Each day, we’ll have current Roskilde bands in the studio and we’ll squeeze as many tour bus anecdotes and acoustic live sets out of them as humanly possible. We’ll also test the musicality among the festival guests who will be using homemade instruments, stomp, beautiful singing and autotune to perpetuate The Orange Feeling 2012 in sound.
8 pm – 10 pm The Cardiologists
Join the open consultation in the studio as the cardiologists cure everything from hangovers to heartaches. They prescribe hand mammograms, blind camp-dating via text messages and perhaps intercourse in the recovery position. Our reporterter – the doctor without boundaries – will operate on the battle field of camping with first, second and third aid to the festival guests.
10 pm –
