Varied music package completes Roskilde lineup

The last batch of acts is Den Sorte Skole, Drenge, Orgi-E / Klamfyr, Kirstine Stubbe Teglbjærg and Woodlands.

Roskilde Festival is approaching by leaps and bounds. Tomorrow we release the full band schedule. Today we unveil a handful of music acts that you will find in the tight schedule alongside Metallica, Rihanna and countless other bands.

DEN SORTE SKOLE (DK) are Danish copy/paste kings. The lads' latest record – brewed from 300 old vinyl records – has a more global scent to it, and it's more challenging and riddled than before. The talented sample DJs have even promised a few brand-new tracks to get the party started.

DRENGE (UK) creates – with few means – a beautiful ruckus that in the tradition of the best punk, grunge and alternative rock combines musicality, disgust and released frustration.

ORGI-E / KLAMFYR feat. F1RSTEHOLDET & OPA OPA ORKESTAR (DK) has put Copenhagen’s slummy suburbia on the hip hop map. The dirty-mouthed rapper continues on his own in the same vein with X-rated Danish-language hip hop balanced with moments of catchy pop.

KIRSTINE STUBBE TEGLBJÆRG (DK) is among Denmark’s famous singing voices due to her past in the internationally renowned band Blue Foundation. She is now back as a new kind of artist and sings in her mother tongue.

WOODLANDS (SE) consists of members from First Floor Power, The Plan and Komeda. The charismatic vocalist Sara Wilson finally gets to take the centre of the spotlight. With the trio’s offbeat, happy-go-lucky, somewhat melancholy folk rock, this crystal clear voice has found the perfect musical backdrop to unfurl.
