Bon appétit! Roskilde Festival 2024 offers up a staggering 200 concerts, and today we're unveiling new names for the final time, adding 15 new music acts and seven Art & Activism acts to this year's roster.
For the first time since 2016, you can experience rapper Action Bronson at Roskilde Festival. The larger-than-life showman from the Bronx delivers an energetic mix of old-school hip-hop, raw humor, and a brilliantly lyrical universe that always ignites the crowd when Action Bronson takes the stage. He has a new album on the way this year.
Among the new names, you'll also find the British pop sensation Shygirl, who, under the title Shygirl presents Club Shy, will transform the Arena stage into a massive nightclub with live music, DJs, and dancers, as well as Musa Keys, rising star of the amapiano scene, and trapmetal rapper Scarlxrd.
You can find the new names in the comprehensive schedule, showcasing all the set times and stages, which we're also releasing today.
The Apollo stage is where you'll find the wildest electronic parties. From well before sunset and close until sunrise, you can let loose and feel the euphoria alongside many of today's leading live acts across a wide range of electronic genres—from Romy, Overmono, Brutalismus 3000, and Nia Archives to Rosa Pistola, Eartheater, and Deena Abdelwahed.
It's also where you'll encounter our resident DJs, setting the mood with eclectic mixes and musical visions. Today, we can announce the names of this year's four residents. They include the Kenyan party concept Strictly Silk, the Iraqi-German hardcore missionary Cynnamon, amapiano connoisseur DJ Mof!yah, and Muskila, who takes you on a musical journey through modern rave culture and Kurdish traditions.
A lineup replacement
In the First Days program, Swedish artist Jelassi has had to cancel her concert. Instead, we are pleased to present the high-flying R&B talent Dos Santos. The 22-year-old Danish-Brazilian has already been hailed as a strong contender for the future's great Danish pop star, and this summer he will undoubtedly capture many new hearts with his samba-inspired and colorful universe.
A Tribute to the Civil Population in Palestine
You can also embark on quite a different journey at this year's Roskilde Festival. As part of our Art & Activism programme, ActionAid Denmark invites you to take part in a Human Banner Action, where we share the message of progress and compassion for the Palestinian civilian population.
The same solidarity continues under the apt title Solidarity With Palestine, where journalists, musicians, associations, and activists gather during First Days at Flokkr for dialogue and reflection in tribute to Palestinian culture.
Read our thoughts on how we, as a non-profit organization and festival, can best make a difference:
Our inner festival grounds are always a feast for the eyes. On our facades, spanning miles in total, you'll encounter colorful, psychedelic, and creative ideas filled with messages, thought-provoking art, and caring brushstrokes that make you relax and raise your gaze. This year, our inner grounds' walls are adorned with freedom-celebrating paintings from the New Zealand graffiti artist RAMS, who has gained international recognition for his ability to paint his works in the most unlikely places.
RAMS travels in criticism of capitalism and utopian visions, and you'll be delighted to see how he captures the overarching theme of Roskilde Festival, Utopia, in his colorful and vibrant graffiti aesthetics.
