Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

We have Motorhead,Gallows, Porcupine Tree, and probably Alice in Chains for Rock. Brother Ali and Tech N9ne as the big Hip-Hop acts. That plus a bunch of different genres. Moderat is self confirmed, but we need some more electonic! icon_biggrin.gif Massive Attack or Daft Punk would be awesome, but im hoping for some more underground stuff like Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, or Sound Tribe Sector 9 too. What do you guys think?

Yeah, I agree. My money is on Massive Attack as electronic-headliner. Bring Bloody Beetroots, Autokratz, Boys Noize, Neon Indian, diskJOKKE or The New Wine as more unknown acts.

I almost only have the same eleven hopes every year:

Massive Attack (possible)
Squarepusher (possible)
Aphex Twin (almost impossible)
Black Dog (possible)
Daft Punk (hmmmmmm)
Justice (a bit possible)
Autechre (possible, they tour)
Four Tet (touring)
Boys Noize
Faithless (possible)
DJ Shadow

Deleted user Squarepusher is the most likely I can think of that I'd really love to see.

Then there's Shpongle, Younger Brother, Ott, Shulman, Entheogenic, Infected Mushroom, none of which will ever happen.

...How about a Lulu Rouge Live set again? Last time was spectacular!

Club 75, Shpongle(!!), Younger Brother and some good dubstep. Ruth Flower would be pretty awesome to.

I'm pretty sure that neither Prodigy, Justice or Daft Punk is gonna show up - unfortunately. Roskilde seems to share headliners with Hove, and since Massive Attack is confirmed for Hove, I think they're gonna be this years electronic headliner

If true, then boohoo. Massive Attack would indeed be a fantastic booking, but wouldn't put on a party in the sense of Daft Punk or Justice IMO. Massive Attacks trip-hop and slow-motion rythms can't be compared to the other two acts. And Bloody Beetroots is barely big enough for Orange.

My dream would be Daft Punk doing a Trentemöller sort of thing and closing on Orange at thursday. If Roskilde can blow their budget on Kanye "Gayfish" West, why not make a sober decision and spend your bucks on Daft Punk, who claims to be touring this year.

I don't think you're right. Last year Hove had Prodigy, while Roskilde didn't. The Prodigy toured their new album (which is awesome) on so many festivals last year, and they have open slots in their tour plan in the festival season, so I'm sure they'll play at most of the major festivals that they didn't last year. Which means Roskilde icon_smile.gif

But maybe I'm too optimistic icon_smile.gif

Not necessarily icon_smile.gif I think you are on to somehing - either way, Massive Attack only have 1 date left during Roskilde (sunday) which I don't think Roskilde will use on a major electronic act. Prodigy is the only way to go this year! icon_smile.gif What else should it be? Faithless? God forbid!

I know alot of people enjoyed trentemøller last year, but in my opinion a trentemøller show is merely water compared to the intensity and chaotic dancing a Prodigy show causes icon_smile.gif.

Well, I'm probably not the best one to judge which is best since I don't care much about trentemøller... Actually I fell asleep while STANDING in the front pit during the concert icon_razz.gif. But I guess that hadn't as much to do with the music as with my physical state at that time...

Since Massive Attack are only free on sunday, in my eyes that rules them out. The closing slot on Orange stage on the sunday should be used for something bigger IMO, and not elecro, which isn`t the most popular form of music.. Last year Coldplay attracted huge crowds and put on and amazing show! That`s what I`m hoping for this year!

And lets face it, they`re not exactly gonna put Massive Attack on Orange in the middle of the daytime are they? icon_razz.gif
All my hopes are going to THe Prodigy!! And my guess is that whoever it is, the electronic headliner is going to be announced this week, so lets just keep our fingers crossed and wait for the teasers icon_smile.gif

Well, true... They are not setting Massive Attack up to close Orange stage or let them play in the midle of the day. I would guess them to play on the arena stage, sunday evening! And thats the best for everybody!

Last time they played Roskilde was in 2003, I think, and that was exactly the case – they played Arena sunday evening. And it was a great show worth repeating.

By the way, aren't we forgetting the posibility of MGMT as the electronic headliner? Sure they haven't released alot of material, but imo they still are worthy as headliners.

MGMT would be realy awesome imo, even tho Justice and Prodigy are still higher up on my wishlist.
