Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Which bands have Roskilde opened your eyes for this year then? icon_smile.gif

So far for me:

Valient Thorr - insanely kickass metal band! They are what I have been looking for in new metalbands! All other bands in metal these days just play screamo-shit, which I`m not a fan of... Valient Thorr on the other hand! Mix styles from bands like Black Sabbath, Megadeth and DOwn! Only way I can describe it!

Porcupine Tree - simply amazing! icon_smile.gif Their show is gonna be magic!

so far:

Afenginn.. they remind me a lot of Alamaailman Vasarat, which played last year

Brother Ali.. I love it old school

Lindstrøm og Christabelle.. it´s like junior senior with a little more funky edge

Wooden Shjips.. I got tons of respect for these guys, not many bands dare do what they do!

I'm digging FM Belfast, Lindström & Christabelle, Shantel and Schlacthofbronx.

I love Roskilde for showing me some new music, a good example is my new favourit band, La Brass Banda but i had no idea who they were before last years festival.

Brother Ali - might be the first american hiphop act i've truly enjoyed.

Lindstrøm og Christabelle - really enjoyable chillout music. Haven't been able to find their album though :/

The three bands from the last announcement: Dirty Projectors, Health and Beach House. They're all pretty cool. I still haven't checked out Brother Ali yet, but I'm guessing I'll like that too. Can't really understand the hype about Them Crooked Vultures though. It sounds like a watered down version of the last two Queens Of The Stone Age albums, and they were pretty watered down already. Not one single interesting or kick-ass riff throughout that record and just genuinely boring. They might rock live though, and I still might show up to check them out.

I'm a long-time Kyuss, QOTSA and general fan of Dave Grohl's drumming - and I'm UP IN THE AIR for the killer riff in No One Loves Me & Neither Do I! How do you not see that, that is killer?

Hehe... it's lacking balls, my good friend. Something that sorta defines the whole genre.

From all the recordings I've seen of them playing live, their concerts seem quite boring honestly... But I'd love to be proven wrong though icon_smile.gif. If anyone have a good live recording of them, please put up a link icon_smile.gif
