Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

The get a tent tents:
Are they two layer tents ( with outer and inner tent)?
Should i get a tarp for the tent in case of rain, or will it hold?
Anything else I should know?
Am I allowed to move my GAT tent to another part of the camping area?

They should be pretty solid. Tarps are only for people who cant pitch a tent properly icon_smile.gif

You are allowed to move the tent as much as you like. Camp somewhere new every day!

And yes they are pretty solid, I used my GAT tent from 06 in 2007 when we had all that rain and my tent was the only one in our camp that kept the water almost 100% out.

And another GAT question: I know the tents are handed out on a running basis, but can you chose your own tent or will it be pointed to you? And do they start handing out the tents nearest the rest of the camping area or the ones furthest away? How does it work?

But could be useful a tarp for real hot and sunny days at Roskilde? I camped on pretty hot places with no tarp at all, but if you don't have some shade, you get incinerated on the early morning and becomes absolutely impossible to be inside the tent...

thought about the morning heat as well.
was thinking about maybe taping a "survival blanket" http://www.clasohlson.com/no/Asaklitt-varmefolie/Pr349274000 on sun-side of the tent in the morning if it gets too hot. Should probably reflect most of the heat?

The big GAT has sleeping compartment on the sides, here there are inner-tents, but not in the middle part of tent. These sleeping areas are a bit small I think. And you are given a tent, but it was possible to discuss it with them. The Rf-person walked with us and pointed at tent, is this ok over here, and we said maybe that one over there, and its ok, take it.

not my pic but anyway
