Quick guide for the search

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

We were wondering if it is ok to bring a tent thats 5x8 meters. Not to sleep in but to have to cool off and chill in ? You know those kind of tents that people put up in their garden when their having a party. If someone knows the rules for this please help us out icon_wink.gif

I don't think there are any very strict rules, but its been said that pavilions shouldn't be bigger than 3x3m for a camp of 20 people, because Roskilde gets very crowded ;P
So 5x8m will just make you unpopular...

Ok thanks for that. Couldnt find anything on this in the forums or rules. Would be good to get this answer verified from someone that works for the festival. Anyone?

That being said, we have brought a standard 3x3m pavilion for year for our small camp (<20 people) and never have had any issues or comments.
I guess it depends on how you setup your camp as well, as thigh as possible or leave lots of room between your tents and pavilion.

You should think about the fact, that you are actually taking up space from other people if you bring a "party tent" like that. A tent that size is taking up space equal to 3 or 4 sleeping tents.

I understand that it would be nice to have a tent like that, but it is really frowned upon by most "older" festival-goers because it signals that you do not care about others, only about yourself. Also, the festival crew may ask you to take it down if there is not enough space for tents in your area. It is unlikely but it may happen.

I would gladly ask you to take it down if I was a guard.

Hi Baddi

The others are spot on. While we all love socially active camps with communal areas, the priority is the need for everybody to have a place to camp.

In addition the service personnel need to be able to spot potential dangerous situations and large party tents make that a lot tougher.

Best regards
Steen
