  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Look we are talking, Polar price level of act to be replaced here, and the sunday evening closing spot. This better be good what ever they do. I havent checked Paul Simon or Laughing lenny cohen schedules, but that what I would be hoping for.

Paul Simon starts his European Tour on the 12th july in Ireland so that´s certainly a possibility and a dream come true for me personally. Leonard Cohen starts his tour in August so that´s a bit far off..

Sigur Ros, Animal Collective, Radiohead, Iggy and the Stooges - either would work just fine!

Sigur Ros is closest to Björk IMO.... But Iggy would make my festival.. Is he on tour Niceone? Edit: I see he is... Come on Roskilde, Björk or no Björk, lets have it!

It's sad for Björk fans if she cancels, and she's most likely a must see for me too if she comes.. But saw her on Roskilde 2007 ... - So Yeah Radiohead would be a great replacement for me !! Maybe this already been mentioned but .... - they seem to have "free dates" - on july 5ht right after italy or july 8th right after Berlin, so already close to Denmark .. http://radiohead.com/tourdates/

A lot of female vocalists are available this summer, even though this is very sad news, as she was one of my four must-sees.

Possible replacements could be Sinead O'Connor, Fiona Apple, Regina Spektor, Feist or Florence + The Machine. Nothing in the same league of Björk, but there are some ok possibilities out there.

These and Lana Del Rey should do it!

Can have differnt act. In 2004 Bowie cancel his show at Roskilde and instead for David Bowie was Slipnkot. But hope not for Lana Del Rey

The difference is that Bowie cancelled just few days before, which meant Roskidle had to act fast to get a replacement. Roskilde has plenty of time this time around to find something in the same vein as Björk, and as I mentioned, there's a lot of opportunities out there. On the bright side, if they do go with Lana Del Rey, Florence + The Machine, Regina Spektor, Feist or Fiona Apple as her replacement, that replacement won't be as expensive as Björk must've been, meaning there's room for another headliner that's something entirely different. Bad news for you if I know your taste as well as I think, it will probably be an electronic headliner, as this seems to be missing this time around, and there's a couple of opportunities in that genre.

Last year cancel Rob Zombie his show at Roskilde and instead Roskilde book My Chemical Romance cam instead and Rob Zombie and My Chemical Romance are two differnt acts. I think we will get something else instead for Björk

Still in the rock genre. Roskilde will ALWAYS try to book something similar to the artist that cancelled when possible. This makes sense as the program they originally made was to please everybody. And with the mentioned artists as a possibility, it shouldn't be hard to book something similiar to Björk.

Yeah but My Chemical Romance is not metal and Rob Zombie is metal, but we only can wait and see now

Roskilde's facebook: We've asked and the word from Björk's people is that they expect her to be ready for Roskilde 2012.

Could be that she only has to rest her voice and not strain it with a full schedule.

As I'm guessed earlier she is maybe just doing a smaller amount of concerts so she will not constrain (if that is the word) her voice.

Quite unclear is when Björk will be able to sing in public again, says Gudmundur Gunnarsson her father. Björk has been in retirement for concerts recently, a physician, but doctors found nodes on her vocal.

The website efestivals.co.uk asserts that Bjork has canceled all his concerts into the summer, including the Roskilde Festival in Denmark and major festivals in Spain and Portugal. Gudmundur said he could not confirm this.

"I was in touch with her yesterday and it was not clear how long it should be," he said and added that he thought no one knew how long this situation will last. From Google Translate

Roskilde's statement came after the efestivals-news. don't know about the other thing though.

I don't care who they replace Bjørk with, as long as they replace her with The Mars Volta.

As i understand it she will not do several concerts in a row and also add breaks in between the concerts and with a tour start in mid June she will be ready for Roskilde.

hi folks

i am sorry to announce I will not be able to play primavera sound (spain) , optimus primavera sound (portugal) , balaton sound (hungary) and afisha picnic (russia) 2012 .

after 2 weeks of voice rest i went to my vocal doctor and she came to this conclusion : i need to rest for 6 more weeks . the good news is that we both feel pretty confident i can start singing fully healed in the middle of june .

in the beginning of biophilia , we estimated that doing 3 residencies a year with couple of months between would be a rhythm my chords could take . then i got overexcited and when we threw the festivals into the mix and only leaving 2 weeks between new york shows and south america was too eager beaver ... the drop that filled the meter ...

i am very sorry and embarrassed about having to cancel things and having promised things and then not being able to keep my word , truly breaks my heart . especially to people who have already bought tickets .

meanwhile biophilia has become its own feisty plant growing all different directions . and it isnt all bad . it has a lot of fun sides like for example the educational angle : reykjavík´s and buenos aires city school curriculums have now embraced biophilia educational program into their schools and we are partnering with the new york public library and the children's museum of manhattan to launch biophilia as learning resource for new york's children in july 2012 .

but in the meantime , i will rest and reschedule and make a promise to my chords and especially those who want to listen to them that even though my mind and my intention gets overexcited and runs ahead , i will from now on allow breaks between "legs" of tours to reassemble ...
because like that i can give better

---So she's taking breaks not stopping the entire tour. Björk is kind of a badass!

There is no new information in that article, and certainly no quotes to back up anything. We knew already everything written there, unless she specifically has said "I'll make it to Roskilde" (but then it is weird that they didn't bring quotes)

Why don't you consider the facebook statement by Björk enough to close this topic? She states that specific shows are cancelled and that she will be back mid june.
