Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

I really enjoy Forest Swords' "Engravings", so I'm very happy with that. Moderat are pretty decent as well. I'll have to look into the others.

The electronic crowd seems to be really spoiled this year. Eventhough I'm not into electronic music, it seems to me that todays bookings are really strong, especially Kavinsky (who seems to me like Daft Punk light).

But next week it must be time for some good rock.

We got 4 electronic artist before todays announcements so I won't call it spoiled.

After all 2 of them will perform at Orange stage so we only had 2 djs/artist announced for Apollo before this announcement(only 1 if Mark Ernestos will perform at another stage with his African musicians)

I don't understand why 4 electronic artists/bands is alot.

Before today there was Trentemøller, Major Lazer, Cyril Hahn and Mark Ernestos so unless you guys count headliners mutiple times I don't get it.

The warm up stages should be irrelevant for who is announced.

Yes I understand that but why the anger towards the electronic music.

As I count there is 7 Apollo acts announced but there will be around 20-23 in total (compared to the 2 last years schedule). so you will have to endure around 15 acts more for this stage. Be brave icon_biggrin.gif

I don't see any anger towards the electronic music in this thread, I just noticed that the electronic acts seems to have high quality this year, with good announcements today and quite possibly also two headliners, while I only knew two of the announced rockbands, Arctic Monkeys and Interpol, before they were announced ( I have noticed that a band like Future of the left sounds interesting, but I didn't know them before)

So since I think the rock genre should be the genre best represented, we need more rock bands. But no anger here (maybe some envy though).

Anger was probably not the best word to use, I apologize for that.

Yes its correct that the electronic artists has been picked on one shelft or 2 above the rock artist but the 4 current headliners are not the most expensive on the market so I think that Roskilde has something in store for the last 3-4 headliners.

One of them is Likely either Outkast or Kanye West but then I think that we´ll see 2-3 quality rock bands headlining the final poster.

To get focus back on the artists released:

I was like "ehh I don't really like electronic music, but let's give it a go". Lucky for me because I'm actually really enjoying this Chromeo disco. Could be quite a happy dance party in concert.

Does anyone know if Kavinsky is going to be live or just a guy with a laptop and some cool buttons? Just saw him being announced for (the amazing) Pukkelpop festival with the sign "LIVE" next to him. Makes me wonder a bit, cause I'm really liking the OutRun record and I believe he's a must-see now
