Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Interesting artist-related quote by main booker, Rikke Øxter

''We have 82 new bands on the poster today, and we will probably end up announcing approx 15 more artists before the shit hits the fan, where 1-2 names will absolutely top-tier.'' Roughly translated quote by Rikke Øxter from Gaffa.dk in a newly published article (18.04), where she answers Gaffa.dk-user's question.
So, just out of curiousity (newcomer here), has there in the last 5'ish years been announced headliner'ish artists, after the actual "full" line-up already has been released?

I am generally pleased with the poster (and actively try to seek out artists from the programme that I don't already know... thanks for King Krule, Flatbush Zombies among others Roskilde!)

Best regards, Mikkel.

PS. Original quote in danish. ''Vi har 82 nye bands på plakaten i dag, og kommer nok til at præsentere cirka 15 artister inden vi går løs, hvor 1-2 navne vil være i den absolutte topklasse.''
Citatet er en lille del af hendes svar på spørgsmål 4.

In 2011 Portishead was booked after the poster and in 2010 Prince was, besides that severel other bands playing Orange stage was booked the last few years, so yes.
Two additional headliners would be great, and to me it seems like the closing act on orange hasn't been booked yet.

I choose to believe that Daft Punk will be announced late in the game. That would qualify. And looking at the poster you've got to believe there a couple bombs still to drop.

I really hope so. The headliners this year seem pretty silly so far. David Bowie, Daft Punk or Frank Ocean would do the trick if you ask me

well, i have a feeling of desire for it to happen, and if there is a 1% chance then i guess that is the definition of hope icon_wink.gif

and if you come out with a quote to expect top-tier talent that will make shit hit the fan, that is what came to mind. regardless, i'll be a happy camper icon_smile.gif

The last four years we have had 3 different headliners since the big poster-release. 2009: Faith No More, 2010: Prince and 2011: Portishead. I don't recall much more other than My Chemical Romance and Kaizers Orchestra in 2011. I'm not sure but I think Dr. John was announced afterwards too last year..
