Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

According to danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet Kris Kristofferson has been booked for the festival.

Now that that Johnny Cash is dead, this is the next best thing!

Yes!! Really hope this is true...

He´s got some tour dates in North America both before and after Roskilde. Maybe he´ll just drops by to do this one gig in Europe...?

Good booking if it's true.
But there's been problems with acoustic acts the last couple of years. People are talking way to much to get the intimacy that's needed for an acoustic show. Allison Krauss was great last year but some dickheads in the audience ruined part of it.

Will he be considered as the last big announcement or will he be a great subliner?

He's a subliner but if that means that we got the 1-2 big acts I don't know. My guess is we did.

An obvious Sunday on Orange act. Very cool. Hope he's in better form than last he played in Denmark.

He has been added to the poster as a subliner, but I'm not sure if they still consider him one of the 1-2 big names to be announced after the posterrelease.
I'm sure Chase & Status is considered one of the big names, but there could still be a headliner left, especially since RF didn't put Chase&Status as a headliner, eventhough they seem bigger than The National and Sigur Ros and there is only 7 headliners announced.

But I'm not a fan of country music, so Kris is not a great announcement for me.

Surely Chase & Status aren´t bigger than National or Sigur Ros. I wouldn´t have ever heard of them if they hadn´t played RF last year.

Hoping for another big act to be announced at this stage is pretty inane.

They said there was 1 or 2 big acts yet to be announced. I'm very sure Roskilde considers both C&S and KK big acts in this respect. Big acts don't mean headliners. It generally means something that would be very popular in their own genre, and have broad enough appeal to be a sub- or full headliner.

I just think, that if RF thought C&S and KK was the two big names to be announced, they would have made one of them a headliner to reach the normal eight headliners. Or maybe I just hope it.....

It's gonna be great seeing Jeff Bridges at the festival! ..wait!
My guess is that Roskilde still has something bigger up their sleeves. Otherwise they would have put Chase & Status or Kris Kristofferson on top of the poster

No idea why you get the idea there has to be 8 headliners. It's not "normal" or set in stone. It has in recent years varied from 7 to 9. And a lot of times, what Roskilde actually puts as headliner and what they put as sub headliner seem random at best.

EDIT: In fact there has been 7 headliner the last 3 years: 2010, 2011 and 2012. So you could say that 7 is the normal amount of headliners really.

But those included bigger names. It's not just about the number of the headliners, but also the size of them. This year there are smaller headliners, thus one biggie is a logical expectation. And in 2010 there were 8 headliners (including Prince, Gorillaz and Muse)

Saturnus, you're terrible at numbers. 2011 had eight headliners as well.

For both years I was looking at the real poster. The one made at big release, not the one after later announcements icon_wink.gif

We do have more subheadliners this year it seems without having bothered to check.

2008: 16 Subheadliners
2010: 18 Subheadliners
2007: 21 Subheadliners
2009+2011: 22 Subheadliners
2012: 24 Subheadliners
2013: 25 Subheadliners

So we are having many Subheadliners.

It seems that RF agreed with my reasoning, that there should be another headliner icon_smile.gif
