Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Don´t think they will play the same night as Slipknot

Fantastic and a much needed band on orange. Always great to have at least a couple of artists who gather a massive crowd. There's something magical with 50000 people on that field.

I saw them for the first time in Gothenburg 1987. Great show. The last time i saw them was at Roskilde 10 years ago. Great show also. From what i remember they opened with Blackened at both concerts.

See you in the pit!

It seems to me like they will be playing on friday or saturday with Rihanna playing the other day, since they can't have Metallica and Slipknot and Metallica both playing on thursday and Kraftwerk has the big headliner spot on sunday. With a European exclusive concert Metallica should also be flexible when choosing a date, since they will have no clashes with other concerts.

I said there was a big headliner left. That is wasn't a mainstream rock name like Muse or Killers, is very much ok with me, as I didn't even dare to hope for Metallica, who I have never seen (I worked as a tent guard, when they played in 2003 banghead.gif )

Such great news, this is the "Stadium"-act I was waiting for! Saw them last year at Download where they killed it.

Only, this time they probably won't play the entire Black Album (which is great, but I want all the thrash-classics). Bring on Metallica!

So let it be written, so let it be done,

AWESOME!!! This was a plesant surprise indeed! I was actually hoping they would release an unexpected act like Prince in 10', and this is certainly it. This festival is THE best rock/metal lineup I've seen in while.

Metallica was fantastic in 1999, hopefully this year will be equally great. I'm guessing this will speed up the ticket sales icon_smile.gif

July just can't come fast enough!!!

I just bought my ticket as soon as I heard Metallica was coming. I am sure many will do the same and this means that Roskilde will 100% be sold out this year, which I doubted it would with the existing lineup.

That´s quite a surprise indeed. Haven´t seen them in 10 years or so, first time being in 1988. I guess it´s time to relive my headbanging youth again with Metallica, Kreator and Suicidal Tendencies in the line-up. But, great news anyway. As gixbit already said, there´s just something special with packed Orange shows.

Nice exclusive!

I'm pretty sure the last time they played was 2003 so 11 years ago now.

YES!
A while since I have posted here, since I didn't go the Roskilde last year, and wasn't planning on going this year until a few days ago. This definitely decided it for me! Can't wait to sing/shot out my username in front of the Orange Stage!!

So, what do you think the setlist will be like?

Will we see a set with all the classics (Enter, Master, Fade, One, etc.) + maybe some new songs from their upcoming album? Or will it be an album-concert (like the Black Album last year, Ride the Lightning at Orion), or what would you imagine?

Better buy the ticket today if you haven't already. It's pay day today and tomorrow in Denmark, and with this being their only concert in Europe, expect sold-out over the weekend.
