  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised today. I thought there was some real gems pulled out of the hat.

Make sure you guys don't miss out on Manu Chao- they played two legendary concerts at RF. Both amongst the best I have ever seen at RF or elsewhere.

Must say I'm pretty blown away too! Thought the where done with the good stuff after The Rolling Stones. But got Stevie Wonder, Drake, Deftones, Darkside, Future Islands, Bastille, Sleigh Bells, Les Claypool and Manu Chao by first glance! And then I need to go through the program!

btw, really make sure you guys check out Future Islands. That voice man https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ee4bfu_t3c

I was also surprised today. Awesome to have Manu Chao and legendary Stevie Wonder with the rock legends The Rolling Stones. Two very big Legends this year. I m remember in 2001 at Roskilde we have 3 Legends, Neil Young, Bob Dylan and Patti Smith and Now 2 big ones icon_cool.gif

Manu Chao played very good show @ Roskilde in 2002. I can not wait to come back to Roskilde icon_biggrin.gif

Bummer, what a huge dissapointment for me!
This is one of the worst lineup in a very long time, if you look away from The Stones IMO.

No thrash metal, no hard rock, no punk and no classic rock.
Not one wish came true.
2 bands to watch.
Rob Zombie and The Stones....total nedtur.

There's no punk. No funking punk, I mean, apart from Future of the Left, Bl'ast and a couple of rising acts. I'm bummed.

Stevie Wonder, Les Claypool, Manu Chao, Sleigh Bells and couple of african legends-acts in this years poster releasse. And lots of stuff in the small letters. At first glance after going through the program it´s kind of "not the best year, but Roskilde never fails"-programme for me.

The lack of quality punk strikes me too (we´ve got Slöa Knivar on the warm-up days though). Roskilde could make a big difference here by signing The Splits, although they´d be more of a Pavillion jr. act, but I´m sure they could handle a gig in the actual music days as well (we´re lacking finnish bands too... icon_wink.gif).

The poster as a whole is great, but I too am missing something on a personal level (Punk, Hardcore, Metal; hell, just some edgier bands all-round). Deftones is definitely the big draw for me here! Other announcements I am rather pleased with are Stevie Wonder, Manu Chao, Darkside, Les Claypool, Electric Wizard, The Horrors and The Ocean.

All there's left to do now, is dig in!

Also, whatever happened to the metal-headliner? I know Deftones is a huge name, but... still... in that case, let them headline!

Great announcement. I'm in again.

This year there is a lack of rock names, but last year was a "rocky" one, so I understand this year is more of electronic-hip hop in the top of the bill (Major Lazer, Trentemoller, Drake, Outkast are half of the headliners).

We'll have fun tough.

And we got fuckin' Stevie Wonder icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

Also quite satisfied with the announcement. Some personal faves in there and a lot of intersting things to check out.

But, as many of you already has stated. A big hardrock/metal name is missing. Soundgarden or Black Sabbath would have saved that. Really thought that at least one of them was gonna be on the poster.

And also punkrock/garagerock acts is missing. I would have been enough with like 2 bands. It would have satisfied many. Can't really see why there isn't any booked. Artists like Ty Segall, The Bronx, Fucked Up, Against Me and many many more is touring. Hopefully there is some rock n' roll in the last announcements.

Also a bit disappointing to me. I really miss som of the harder rocking names, but seeing that last year was so badass in terms of rock and roll I can more easily settle this year. Luckily I'll get my share of quality Hip/hop (not drake) and parties with World music to enjoy (and of course Stones, Arctic, Interpol, Deerhunter, Mogwai, Psyched Up Janis and Merchandise). Just announce Soundgarden as one of the final bands Roskilde, and the poster would be complete icon_smile.gif

EDIT: But it's lovely. I have 4-5 people in my camp completely stoked that they are having the absolute best line-up ever, and then others almost not wanting to go. You can't please everyone. Impossible!

Soundgarden were supposed to play on 4th July in Sasquatch. That festival got cancelled so now they extended the european tour with the london date with Black Sabbath.

Maybe they are still rescheduling their european tour. It would be great to have them in the final bill, of course, but i guess it's been a problem of first not able to play in Roskilde Weekend and now, who knows....

isn't matt cameron from pearl jam still the drummer for soundgarden? if so, it's quite obvious why they aren't playing

I agree. Headlinerwise proberly the most disapointing year for a decade at least. Not my cup of tea att all. Boring apart from maybe trentemöller who did good last time around. I like the arctic monkeys and damon albarn but they just left the orange stage a while ago it seems!
would have enjoyed some hillbillystuff like hank3,horten heat etc.but maybe next year.
I had to pick up my looking glass to find the good stuff written with small letters and aktually there were a lot of good stuff (black dahlia murder, omar suleyman, carcass, darkside, systeme solar, spids nögenhat,.......)
I will be avoiding orange this year and will be sneaking around in the tents.Have a nice festival!

No need for Daft Punk. This Chromeo´s Business Casual-record is absolutely marvellous. Too bad they suck live. If there´s one band, that needs a full-live band, this is it. Loving this.

For some reason they seem oblivious to the fact that there is a pretty strong classic rock/retro rock revival going on at the moment. Rival Sons, Scorpion Child, Temperance Movement etc

And don't forget Kadavar - also one of the strongest live acts out there atm!

There's just so many right now, that are bringing good tunes, musicianship and rock n roll back to the scene. Such a shame that RF will be late to the party.

Bombus is a damn strong live band, check them out if you haven't yet.
On another note, if you'd like, check out "The Socks". They're playing UnderWerket in Valby for merely 50 Kroner on April 30th. Descending from France, and has a rare Rainbow-/Deep Purple-esque sound to them icon_smile.gif

The "hillbillystuff" is very much there in the form of Les Claypool's Duo de Twang. It's basically the bassist from Primus and one of his buddies playing redneck country music. Also be sure to check out Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit if you want a more honest and less tongue-in-cheek take on the genre.

Just the fact that Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder and Outkast are on the poster makes this lineup one of the best ever!

and many more good names. maybe the best lineup since 2010.
