I think you guys are in the wrong thread....
Anyways i most sinceresly DO NOT hope that RF's idea of "Electronic Music" is that which is being played everyday on the radio. That is what makes me ashamed to tell others that I'm an EDM music guy. In my experience, most people who aren't into the scene just think of whatever radio hit with a primitive electro-induced beat is popular at the moment when they hear "electronic music".
What they don't know is that it is so much more, and I do indeed believe that RF know that. To name a few from last year: Portishead, Gold Panda, Chase&Status, DJ Koze, Jatoma, James Blake, Nicolas Jaar, dOP and SBTRKT. Nico and dOP where chosen first and third best live act of the year by Resident Advisor, and SBTRKT and James Blake experienced HUGE breakthroughs in their career.
Looking back at last years selection i actually realized that RF do indeed know what they are doing in the electronic sector. I can't wait to see what they'll cough up for next year with this new scene! I'm kinda hoping for The Orb, DJ Krush and Daft Punk (they were in the music quiz!)

Hahaha, can't help but comment on that I've heard numorous of the artists you mentioned on the radio. Anyway, I do somewhat agree. But that goes for pretty much every musical genre out there.

Well yes. With "radio" i OF COURSE (sarcastic caps-lock) mean those channels that try to be MTV and play crappy capitalized pop music without soul. There are (and thank God for that) still promoters and radio hosts with musical sense.
RF are pretty damn good indeed. Some would call me a narrow-minded electronica fan, and i guess it's not all wrong to say that. RF always surprises me anyway, serving up enjoyable music from every corner of the musical spectre.

Just because you think you're right, doesn't make them wrong!
Stop making it 'Hip' to hate on people who doesn't listen to underground and none-mainstream music. I listen to shit that isn't played on MTV, Voice etc.
- but fuck me, i can't say that i once in a while sings along to that 'primitive-electro-beated' music
But hell yea! The essence of Roskilde is to get the more or less 'unknown' artist performing!
Looking forward to experiencing this scene!
My point: embrase all music!
God vind! and good day!
