Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Awesome! icon_biggrin.gif

This year I've been getting good stuff with every announcement. This already looks like one of the best line-ups for me!

So far the best line-up in just about 10 years... it can pretty much only go downhill from here.

God dammit. How I´m supposed to get any drinkin done in between these acts. There´s already 7-8 bands I wanna see, and that´s from these 20 announced. The Roots have always been on my most-wanted list, so I´m (very) happy.

Do you think we already have 4 headliners?

I think we have three:

Björk
Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band
The Cure

and at least two subliners:

Bon Iver
The Roots

This lineup is getting so insanely good!
It's like they saved half the budget from last year, which would explain alot icon_wink.gif

I'm so thrilled about this year!

I'd put The Roots as the hip-hop headliner. That is unless they have many more bigger bands coming at us, which does seem a bit unlikely.

I haven't had the time to listen to the new The Roots album until recently. Well all I can say is that it's a really great album and I love it. So thank you Roskilde for a great job booking them!

Judging by people's reactions it seems like a great booking icon_smile.gif Not a big hiphop person really, but it seems like the sort of hiphop i could like. Not like the newer crap. Very real

I don't consider myself a hiphop person, either. But I just have to put my hands down for The Amazing Roots - you can't deny goodness - and I seen some very talented jazz musicians go crazy over The Roots as a band. Besides that Black Thoughts has one of the best flows I've ever heard!

FUCK I'm getting a major crisis this year - too many must-sees already

There are some 100-120 acts left. If I like 0 % of them I'm still satisfied with the line-up this year icon_eek.gif

At this time last year we only had two (Iron Maiden and Kings of Leon). I think we have 3 headliners so far. But I also think that the last headliners will be something like Wolfmother and Blink-182; not that big, great and cheap..

Make that 150 icon_smile.gif 18-20 bands so far and 170 in total. I was already satisfied with the line-up when Bruce announced his Roskilde-concert, so bought my ticket in december. But this is just crazy! 4 must-sees and 4 want-to-sees so far!

I'd even make that number bigger. Remember that they've got an entirely new stage with a lineup to fill. Apollo plays all of the festival's 8 days and if you multiply that by say, 5 acts, we've got 40 more names in store on top of the 150... (!!!)

Does anyone know if all the rappers featuring on the new album are touring with them? Or how do they play it live?

Love the positivism! icon_biggrin.gif

Only 5-6 more great bands, and I don't care if they book every african/asian artist alive

That's just because you've been starved of great artists lately icon_wink.gif Ha ha!

It really looks awesome so far, hope they have many more gems up their sleeves.

What I like the most is that they have taken a complete U-turn from all the crap they said in the aftermath of Roskilde 2011 and actually is focusing on booking established artists. (The Roots are 20 years old by now, a mastodont also.. )

I heard that The Legendary Roots Crew had their breakthrough at Roskilde 93' (or so) does anybody know if there's any truth in this story?

this year was the first year I was really doubtfull about going to Roskilde because of last years overall okey-ness.. but damn, this year seems to be the craziest ever for me (I startet in ´07)!! my only worry now is that the only thing between this year and last year is that they are announcing all the big acts first and then "the rest" from now on.. but damn, crazy-great line up allready!!
