Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Well I guessed that they would announce 9 up and coming bands this week (like last week) but 2 can also do it icon_biggrin.gif

Urban Cone and Woken Tree is the one chosen in a competition I didn't even know about (something about an app).

So there are 15 pavillion Jr and 11 Apollo Countdown names left to be announced before or on the poster day.

The Woken Trees are a good addition to that postpunk-psychosis the bookers are running at the moment (seriously a lot of names in that genre on the programme already!). Will have to check the other guys out.

Yeah, I was thinking that very same thing myself. I don´t mind really, found myself listening a lot of that stuff lately. Already thought I was lost in black rhytm music, but you´ll never know...

That being said, of course diversity rules and you´re right that maybe there´s enough of those kind of bands already. Just saying that they´re classy ones.

I can't figure out if you think that this is a good or a bad thing icon_lol.gif

Well, I generally loathe post punk, being the tuneless, deadpan, cold genre it often is. But I can't deny that guys like The Woken Trees and girls like Savages do it a great service. I just can't fathom why we need 10 bands in the category.

Btw. can anyone recommend the three additional names we got today? Ice Cream Cathedral, Compadre and Navneløs?

I liked Ice Cream Cathedral at first listen. Gonna give them another go as soon as I have time. Compadre didn´t do it for me.
