  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

In the next couple of hours, Chief Booker Rikke Øxner from the Festival is guesting Danish National Radio to talk about this years programe.

Make sure to listen - you can even put forward questions in there:
Inputdr[dot]dk (or send a text message on number 1212 - text P3 *and your question (applies for Denmark only))

Wonder if something will be revealed within the next couple of hours?

Currently listening, could be really cool if she hints at a bigger name, or mentions some smaller acts. She probably wont though.

For those of you not listening or unable to understand Danish, here's some of the stuff being said by Rikke:

- AC/DC still aren't ready to play festivals afterall banghead.gif

(This post will be updated throughout the next hour or so)

CWBJ: Not really, mostly music.

Some things from the interview:

-From what Øxner said, it could seem that The Killers (we kind of knew) and Dave Matthews Band wont show up this year.

-We definetly wont get AC/DC this year neither.

-The dance lovers will get some small alt. dance names in the big announcement.

-On a side note, Rikke said that in the old days one would have to call a telephone number on April 1. where Lars Skov through a recorded message would tell you the acts playing the festival icon_razz.gif

-Whitest Boy Alive seems very unlikely, Rikke: "Everytime we choose something we have to pas on 5-7-10-a lot of other acts" and "it have'nt been that long since the last time they played".

-Fever Ray will play a late night slot.

-There seems to be a chance of Beck getting booked. My interpretation anyway.

-There will be about 10-20 acts announced after April 16.

I'd better explain:

When asked about Killers and DMB she said something about the suprises comming from other places this year. When asked about Beck on the other hand she said that they worked on different scenarios and that they would make the progamme from a combination of these - which made it seem like Beck was in one of the scenarios.

They did'nt mention them with a word...I sent a sms asking about Blur - since it was one from their radio channel who said they would play Roskilde a couple of months ago - but no word on that either.

After all we got The Pet Shop Boys as the big dance act

It's true about the 1 april telephone thing. I remember that! icon_razz.gif

Not that I particularly want them (Whitest Boy....), but what about Kanye West, The Pet Shop Boys etc? Seems to me it's better to book smaller bands in a few years between than headliners who are supposed to be the biggest excitement.

I dont think Kanye should have been booked either. Apart from my personal preferences (I dont like his music, especially not the newest album) headlining the festival every 3 years is a little too much. When I was new to the festival, I did'nt really care and just wanted my favourites now regardles if they had played the years before I first attended. But now I realise that when comming here every year (only my 5. year this year, but still) one wants the headliners to be fresh and not to play here too often.

i see where you're getting at, but kanye is a whole new artist compared to 2006.

1 new album and a decline in quality doesn't equal a whole new artist since the last time in my book. Just a very bad booking.

Oh, I forgot:

When asked whether they could reverse the incident from 2004 and get David Bowie instead of Slipknot, Rikke replied that she would love to get Bowie and that when he started touring again (if?) they'ed instantly ask him. Problem is, to my knowledge he have'nt been touring for years...
