Quick guide for the search

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Me and a group of friends are taking the ferry from Kristiansand to Hirtshals. So we were wondering whats the easiest and fastest way to get from Hirtshals to Roskilde/Copenhagen. Prefer not to travel 6+ hours by buss.

Well. You're not in luck since there's no direct route.

You first have to take the train to Hjørring. From there you take the train either to Aalborg or directly to Roskilde (if such still exist). You might have to take the bus to Aalborg though. If the train doesn't go directly to Roskilde then you can either wait for a train that does at Aalborg station, or take a bus to Roskilde (actually Trekroner).

If you went with the bus which takes 5h 20m then you need to take the train to the actual Roskilde St. and go to the festival from by one of the normal recommended routes.

All in all, none of the trips take 6 hours by themselves. The travel however is more than 6 hours. Probably around 8 hours if you don't have to wait too much at each stop.

Taking into concideration that the damaged bridge over Limfjorden is opened at that time (they postpone the opening all the time but it should be ready in a few months)

Right now the Intercity Lyn trains ends in Aarhus or Aalborg for obvious reasons but normally they go all the way to Frederikshavn and so they will stop in Hjørring.

Walk to the train station in Hirtshals, its located very close to the ferry terminal.
Take the local train from Hirtshals to Hjørring.
Take the Intercity Lyn train from Hjørring to Odense.
Wait in 11 minutes.
Change to a Intercity train towards Østerport and get off at Roskilde.

It should take around 5,5 hours in total, add 30-40 minutes if the bridge by accident are not ready by this summer.

The bridge will open again on April 29th so Rejseplanen.dk is updated.

I don´t know your departure time and day from Kristiansand but lets say that you take Colorspeed 1 from Kristiansand at 08:00 on a Saturday.

Your ship will then we in port 11:15.

The train station is located 5 minutes away on foot

At 11:36 the train towards Hjørring departs.

At Hjørring station you have 8 minutes to board the ICL towards København that departs at 12:06

In Odense you change for the IC train towards Østerport at 16:16, here you have 11 minutes to change train.

At 17:25 you will be at Roskilde station. icon_biggrin.gif
