Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Well if you look at my profil-pic... You properly figured out that i'm quite pleased with some of the names in the Line-up icon_wink.gif *wink* *Wink* Les Claypool!!!
And as a huge PanterA fan, it's also really, really nice to see mister Anselmo making his way around Roskilde...

Buuuuuuuuuuuut...
If you were to compare the line-up to another famous festival, taking place i Denmark as well.
The other festival has quite an amazing line-up; Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Anthrax, Black Label Society, Sepultura and so on.
You may feel that Roskilde missed out on some really big Rock and Metal names this year... Now i'm not blind and i truly do look forward to Stones and such, but...

Leave a comment on your thoughts on the amount and quality of the rock and metal bands in the roskilde line-up this year.

Cheers!

It's always up and down. Last year was a massive one for metal and hard rock with 50% of the headliners being names in that genre.

Copenhell, who are celebrating their five year anniversary aswell as gearing up in general with an extra day is three weeks before Roskilde. Many of the bands playing there, with the exception of Maiden and a few others aren't in Europe in during Roskilde, so that goes a long way in explaining why those aren't at Roskilde instead.

I think, though, that there are lots of gems among the smaller names aswell as the subheadliners in the rock genre as a whole.

I am personally looking forward to:

Deftones
Mogwai
Rob Zombie
Bombus
Electric Wizard
Hookworms
The Horrors
Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit
The Men
Psyched Up Janis
Spids Nøgenhat
The Ocean
Rumble in Rhodos
Communions
Slöa Knivar
