Quick guide for the search

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

No worries.. By looking at some of the summer metal festivals (Hellfest, Wacken. etc) and tours, there seems to be a lot of awesome metal bands to choose from icon_smile.gif I'm sure that a metal announcement will pop up within this month..

With all bands touring this summer, it could be some of these names:

Machine Head
Dimmu Borgir
Amon Amarth
Slayer
Cannibal Corpse
Blue öyster Cult
Children of Bodom
Exodus
Devil Driver (announced for Hove already)
Pentagram
Taake (we always have some great old school black at Roskilde)
Suicidal Angels
Nasum
Enslaved
Vomitory
Paradise Lost
Death Angel
Hell
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Six feet under
Watain
Endstille
Dark Funeral
In Flames
DRI
Warbringer
Suicide Silence

Mostly we will have a couple of death metalbands (old school/melo), some core(hard/death/metal), one or two black metalbands, and a couple of newer bands playing old school heavy or thrash. And if we are lucky we will have an old school thrash name on the bill also..

I'm sorry, but I don't understand why anyone would want to see them these days after tragedies like this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KVmRtEO18k

I honestly have to agree. How is it though, have they been releasing anything worthwhile with this new line-up of theirs? Because I have to say this song and the title of God & Guns threw me off significantly.

A festival close to Roskilde, Peace & Love Festival in Sweden so far has Arch Enemy, Enter Shikari (metal?) and Hatebreed. Guess they are possibilities all though I really don't wan't to see Arch Enemy again..
Machine Head would be awesome to see though. Last time I saw them I don't think I was much older than 15 and only knew Through the Ashes of Empire.. Now they're touring supporting one of greatest metal albums this year Unto the Locust and would be a great addition to this years programme. But maybe Copenhell gets them.. Nevermind, planning on attending both festivals (copenhell for the first time) this year icon_cool.gif

Unto the Locust is a fantastic album! hmm well, maybe they will get them. But they already have LoG and it would be stupid to have two headliners which will draw the same audience.

I got my fingers crossed for Pentagram. They killed at Loppen last sunday, and they killed at Muskelrock last year. I'm also hoping for St. Vitus

I couldn't agree more. It was such a blast! Sadly I had to leave before the concert was over. Because of the huge delay icon_frown.gif

It's so good for Copenhell!

Aleg-One and I have made a metalsite called blastbeast.dk where we are making reviews, blogging, interviews etc.. And I have made an interview with Jeppe - the boss/booker of Copenhell.. You can read it here: http://blastbeast.dk/?p=625 if you wan't of course.. icon_smile.gif

I see your point but since Machine Head is touring around Copenhell, it would be a great opportunity to get one of the greatest metal acts right now. But I'm confident they will play one of the festivals icon_cool.gif

Even though I don't have anything against Lynyrd Skynyrd I wonder why they are in a metal thread. Did I miss something?

Naa, but the point is here that they are playing at some of the biggest metalfestivals in the world. Graspop Metalmeeting, Hellfest, Sweden Rock etc.. so they appeal to many metalfans also.. They are what you can call early hard rock/metal in the same league as Blue öyster Cult which is also playing Graspop, Hellfest, Sweden Rock .. thats why I've listed them icon_smile.gif

Machine Head and Devildriver just played in Amager Bio. Would love to see them at Roskilde but doubt they will come to Denmark again so soon after their last show.

They kicked ass btw.

Wouldn't mind them, but it's never going to happen at Roskilde

It's not unusual for a band to play single concerts in a country and then play a festival the next summer. It's pretty normal actually.

And with Machine Head as a metalact on Roskilde, Roskilde will continue their release on highly current names with new albums with great reviews!
