Quick guide for the search

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

For me the greatest act at roskilde 2013 was the soul rebels, jazz artist/bands are in the minority compared to the other genres representatives.which I think is shame
How great wouldn't it be to se esperanza Spalding or melody gardot at roskilde?
Any one else think roskilde 2014 would really benefit from a stronger jazz lineup?

Well Esperanza Spalding would be awesome. Besides that it's a mystery to me why Roy Hargrove with his RH-factor haven't been booked - even under the current musical direction.

BUT when you say jazz, I don't think Roskilde needs to go back and have "Classic"/bibob jazz from the 50's 60's. Let copenhagen Jazz-festival (simultaneus festival) deal with that.
But I would gladly see a larger number of bands in combined genres as Soul/jazz, Hip-hop/jazz, pop/jazz and well basically modern jazz. My impression is also, that many people are enjoying the concerts with jazzy elemements and more improvisation.

So I voted yes, but if you mean jazz as in a standart and then they all get to play a solo, then it's a NO (Even though I like that type of music).

So Go for me is for instance:

RH-Factor
Blitz the Ambassador
Afrobeat-bands
Guru's Jazzmatazz project (dammit he's dead, but good example)
Esperanza Spalding
Marcus Miller
Jazz Liberatorz
Destroyer (latest album)
Etc.

No Go

All the old jazz-legends and "Insert-jazzguy"-Trio/Quartet/Quintet
