With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search

With today's announcing of Chase And Status, who must be considered 1 of the 2 "big names" Rikke Øxner promised a couple of weeks ago, there is only 1 big name left. What are, according to you, the odds of Muse being this name?

In my oppinion, i think there are good chances for seeing Muse. First of all they promised a danish concert around christmas-time on their Facebook-page, along with concerts in Germany and Finland. These concerts were announced long time ago, so this explains why Muse haven't yet announced a danish concert - they wait for Roskilde to say "go".

Secondly, there is space in their tour plan. They play in Italy 29th of June and 6th of july, so a concert on Roskilde thursday or maybe friday seems possible.

What talks against Muse at Roskilde is the fact that they played in 2010 - but again, many other bands have been booked even though they played 2-3 years ago.

Chase and Status could be one of the big names, since they are one of the acts most wished for, but I still think Rikke hopes to find another headliner, with her 'one or two big names' comment and the fact, that there is only seven headliners so far, but last year we ended up with seven headliners, so nothing is certain.
I think the last headliner (if there is one) should be a big mainstream rock name, where I especially want Muse, since they are my favourite band and I think they owe me a concert after cancelling in Malmø in december.
As you said, they announced in the start of the year, that they will play a concert in Denmark, but they never announced a date or a venue, so it could still be Roskilde. Their concert in Rome has been moved to friday, so if they play RF it should be saturday, as I can't see them playing on thrusday with Slipknot already playing or sunday with Kraftwerk already playing, since there aren't room for two big headliners on those days.

I know some people don't want Muse to play RF this year, since they think it's too soon (or maybe isn't that impressed by their latest album). But I'm hoping for them.

I hope for them too! We could use a big stadionrock name as e headliner. And if you are right when saying their Rome-show has been moved to friday, it looks like we will be getting Muse on saturday.. Man, i'm too excited!!

I guess it all depends on if it is more likely that The Killers would be announced instead of Muse...
The Killers tour plan fits Roskilde since they are playing in Ukraine at the 2nd of July and then in Ireland at the 13th of July... Geographicly it seems logical since they will start in Ukraine and then go to Roskilde before going further north to Ireland...

The killers did also announce a new album in 2012 and still touring with it;'Battle Born'.

And since they havn't played at Roskilde since 2007, where they were subliners, it seems more obvious that they are moving a step up wards to be a headliner here in 2013?

I'd say The Killers are more likely since they haven't played since 2007 and are now a stadium-sized band. Muse would be so repetive, booking them again is really not that creative.

I guess it doesn't matter though, since I probably won't see any of the two.

Looking at The Killers' tour plan, Roskilde seems logic. Also, they would be the big, mainstream rock name, that some many (including myself) have wished for. Saw them in Hamburg earlier this year, great concert, but would love to enjoy them at a much bigger outdoor arena.

So, Roskilde just put up a new Cover-photo on their Facebook-page which says "It's like a crazy f***ing party in a UFO". I've heard rumours that Muse has had intentions of landing a UFO on-stage at their concerts during this tour - if that is true, it might be a hint.

Rumours say, that Muse how cancelled their show in Italy the 6th of July, but I can't find a link or anything else to confirm it. But if this rumour is true, it must mean that Muse will play Roskilde. Yet again, it's only a rumour..

According to their tourcalendar on Facebook the concert in Italy has been moved to 5th of July. Maybe that was your rumour.

It doesn't mention being moved. It is simply listed as the 5th of July. Most likely it is a typo as every other source (including official website) has it listed on the 6th of July and there are no news mentioning the concert being rescheduled.

If Muse do play Roskilde, they will either fly up from Rome after the gig and play a late Sunday slot (most likely just before Kraftwerk) or they will be at Roskilde Thursday/Friday (most likely Thursday as they are playing stadium concert on Saturday). At this stage I think it'll be Thursday if anything. However, that would still rely on Roskilde convincing Muse to leave Italy between their Turin and Rome gigs. So basically, it seems unlikely Muse will play.

So, Roskilde states, that the programme is now complete. But do you think there is a chance that they might announce Muse as the last act anyway?

Hopefully Muse will visit Denmark later this year, since they promised to come to Denmark.

But I can live with RF booking Metallica instead icon_biggrin.gif

It surprises me that Muse is not on the poster this year, after their announcement on facebook. It seemed pretty obvious that they would come.

In generel the booking or the lack of booking (to some degree) of a specific acts can't surprise me. Booking is a big puzzle with so many factors involved that no band can be considered probable: are they available at the right dates, are the price right, do RF consider them interesting, do the band want to play at Roskilde and other factors (appearently Rammsteins stage setup are to big for Orange, so they can't play), so no missing booking should really surprise you, no matter how probable they seem.

Muse said they would play in Denmark this year, but they never mentioned RF, so it has only been our speculation and with concerts in Italy at the time of the festival their schedule wasn't ideal for RF. It could of cause be that RF wanted to add Muse as their final headliner, but got the chance to book Metallica instead.

They should still play in Denmark at some time, although it is surprising that they haven't announced anything yet, when the rest of their concerts have already been announced.
