Quick guide for the search

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

I agree it would be awesome, but I think we've got the headliners for now icon_smile.gif

As a name and for their genre you could argue that Soundgarden is missing. But if anyone catched their Itunes Festival performance a few weeks ago, it is clear that they don't have got it in them anymore. God that was an uninspired concert. That is also what my friends who saw them in Forum last fall told me. Besides that there is also a little history about the drummer and a Pearl Jam concert in 2000. Maybe he has a veto about Soundgarden playing Roskilde...

In my eyes they have got the name and songs but not the liveperformance to play up orange, so I understand why they are not on the poster.

Tbh, they weren't rather impressive either when I saw them in 2012. I would be willing to give them another chance, though. I firmly believe we need some more heavy on the poster.

But then again, there is the thing with Cameron, as you mention. Dunno...

Matt Cameron will not be playing with Soundgarden this summer, as he is doing pearl jam shows. The substitute is Matt Chamberlain. So no problem of vetos.

And I copy what I've written in ohter thread:

"Soundgarden were supposed to play on 4th July in Sasquatch (Seattle). That festival got cancelled like 2-3 weeks ago so now they have extended the european tour with the london date with Black Sabbath.

Maybe they are still rescheduling their european tour (they start now the american at the end of july). It would be great to have them in the final bill, of course, but i guess it's been a problem of first not being able to play in Roskilde Weekend and now, who knows...."

Oh, please no Soundgarden. And this is from an old fan, who still thinks they were a great band. Just that I too don´t think they´d be any good live nowadays.

Even with their reputation and all, I'd still like to see Soundgarden this summer. It does look like we have all the headliners in place though, but I'm not ruling out the option, that they'd might end up on the poster with the last few bands missing. Does anyone know how many are yet to be announced BTW?

They said there will be around 160 acts and now there is 156 so maybe a few more.

The sound was terrible and the audience very boring in Forum in Denmark. I have a friend who just saw them in Argentina and he said they kicked ass (and he was at the danish concert as well). They are of course not jumping around like crazy anymore, but I'm sure they would deliver a great concert.

But it sounds like they are not performing every time icon_frown.gif

(I enjoyed the concert in Forum, because it had it's magical moments despite the sound/audience)

If Rob Zombie cancels (as he´s likely to do), I think you guys might got a chance of getting Soundgarden if they´re free due to cancelling of that Seattle festival.
