Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

How to protect your smartphone while attending concerts?

I've decided to bring my iPhone 5 to the festival this year - it's a great tool to find information, take great pictures etc.

But i'm a tad nervous about the concerts.
I like to be a part of the crowd and dance around, perhaps mosh a little bit - whatever suits the music. But i'm afraid that i'll be constantly worrying about dropping my phone since my shorts doesn't have very deep pockets.

I don't want to leave the phone in my tent. I know a few people who have had some of their stuff stolen at roskilde.

So... I have wondered if I should buy a sturdy cover to the phone (perhaps a LifeProof or Otterbox) and perhaps a belt-clip to use at the concerts. But that will also leave the phone in a quite vulnerable place if people are acting like maniacs at the shows (the crowd was ridiculous at Apollo last year - wall of death to house music? wtf)

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

hahahaa.. Two last comments are great icon_smile.gif

I often tie a string to my phone. Looks ugly, but keeps you from losing it. Dont know if it works with a iphone though. Requires a loop to tie the string through I guess.

How about buying a fanny pack? I've brought smartphones to the past three festivals and intend to do it again. Another solution would be to get a new pair of shorts with deeper pockets icon_biggrin.gif

I prefer a fanny pack, fits all I need during the day (pocket camera, smartphone, money/cards)
But if you just want to bring your smartphone and money/credit card, a money belt is invaluable. They look a bit nerdy but you can easily hide it under your shirt. icon_cool.gif

I use pants with pocket zippers. They're really ugly but it fulfils it's purpose. icon_smile.gif
