A concert to remember

The audience are not the only ones having unforgettable experiences during the festival. For Copenhagen band Opgang F, it was a huge experience being on stage.

”We are really looking forward to this, so we hope you are going to dance with us on this wonderful Monday”. Those were the words from Opgang F in good form inviting festival goers to a party during their show in the warm warm-up days.

After the concert, Roskilde Festival had a talk with three happy guys behind the stage where they just hosted a party, they have been waiting a long time to host.

“Before the concert we looked at each other and said: This is it guys, now is the time to live out our childhood dream”, tells vocalist Morten Hoeg, who has caught a nasty cold which keeps a tight grip on his hoarse vocal chord.

“But I just had to be ready for today, so I have been on a vegetable diet all weekend – and the good thing about it, is that it has give me a great rock’n’roll voice”, he continues laughing.

Like children on Christmas Day, the young lads of Opgang F have been looking forward to performing in front of the Roskilde audience.

“We haven’t really been nervous, but we have had plenty of butterflies in our stomachs and been filled with expectations – kind of like when you were a kid and was going to Tivoli to try the big rollercoaster”, Klaus Bang says.

After the concert Opgang F have no plans on returning home right away. In stead they are heading out to the area in front of Pavillion to enjoy a wonderful night to the fullest.

“Let me put it this way: when it is time to go home, we will not be driving ourselves”, says Daniel Ditlev.
