Visiting the sound tower at Orange Stage

Did you know that Roskilde Festival holds one of the largest stereos in the world, and that each of the great speaker pillars, which are standing on each side of the stage, are loaded with 100.000 watt? Follow the festival reporters as we go backstage on Orange Stage.

On the day before all breaks loose, the festival reporters are visiting the sound tower at Orange Stage. The last adjustments are still to be made. We arrive in the middle of a sound check of the "delay-towers" which are the big speaker towers standing amidst the audience. When these giant speakers are in use, the main system does not have to reach all the way to the rearmost rows. Not that it could not do it. Each of the great speaker towers, which are standing on each side of the stage, has a capasity more than 100.000 watt.
