Light up your tent and support families in Uganda

For DKK 195 you can light up your tent with a good conscience.

For you the Little Sun lamp is a practical tool for when you are walking the camping area at night or when you are hanging out in your camp. But you are not only helping yourself when you buy the little solar cell lamp. You will also be helping poor families in Uganda. By buying the lamp you are supporting Energi Nord's project ”Lys i Afrika” (Light in Africa); they send the little lamps to Uganda where they will replace deadly and expensive oil lamps. The lamps are essential for the families: Children can do their homework, because they have access to light, and their parents can keep the house at night and earn crucial extra money during the day.

”The Lys i Afrika project is a perfect match for Roskilde Festival's non-profit values – because it is sustainable and it helps poor families in the world at the same time. It combines the Roskilde life with supporting family life in Uganda – and it is such a lovely thought” explains spokeswoman, Christina Bilde.

You can buy the sunflower shaped lamps, designed by Olafur Eliasson, here and in the festival's merchandise stands, where you can also learn more about the project.
