Are you getting a bit tired of Guitar Hero? And do you miss the arcade games of your childhood? Then Rock Invaders is the thing for you.

At this year’s festival, you can play old-school computer games with an electric guitar in your hands. So get in touch with your adolescence and try your hands with Roskilde Festival’s arcade where rock and computer games are united.

The game Rock Invaders has been designed especially for Roskilde Festival by six lads from the Technical University of Denmark. They have drawn inspiration from the 80s hit Space Invaders and the success game Guitar Hero.

Guitar as controller
The game is designed like the classic Space Invaders. Yet, the figure is now an astronaut armed with an electric guitar, and the controller has been replaced with a real electric guitar. There are controls on the guitar’s notes, so that you can steer right and left and fire two different kinds of shots by striking the notes.

What are computer games without music, and what is Guitar Hero really without a real electric guitar? Of course, it has to sound great when you play with the guitar in your hands, and Rock Invaders has therefore been constructed so that the control notes are harmonious with the background music.
