torsdag 25.09.08 Three years with world music in CopenhagenFans of world music can now look forward to the coming three years when Copenhagen will host the world music event WOMEX. A working party with forces from Roskilde Festival has ensured that Copenhagen – which was in competition with 15 other European cities – has won the hosting. WOMEX takes place in the last week in October and spreads over five days. Each year from 2009 you can experience about 50 concerts with ”local music from out there” – traditional, ethnic, fusion and folk music from all over the world. The concerts can be experienced at various venues in the city. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience the many exciting genres and musicians from the outside world. WOMEX takes place in Copenhagen on the following dates:
