According to the story, Justin Vernon created the sobbingly beautiful For Emma, Forever Ago in a lonely cabin in the middle of the winter wilderness.

On the self-titled album from 2011 Vernon has extended his sound with a big, well-playing band and appears as a progressive folk artist with a penchant for soft rock, grandiose sounds and instrumental digressions.

The transformation has not reduced Bon Iver’s place in the hearts of audience. The bearded American with the fabulous falsetto is now in top 10 of the hottest Roskilde requests in the company of the biggest stars, stadium bands and legends.

Bon Iver has left the hermitage cabin and really stepped into the spotlight.
