LARSEN & FURIOUS JANE (DK)Torsten Larsen and his squires ought to be mentioned when looking up the term 'critic's favourite' in a Danish dictionary. With a solid grasp on songwriting, Larsen & Furious Jane have created a handful of albums that uses well-written, absolutely non-Danish sounding indie rock to explore the rather disgruntled mood as it sounds coming from a group of Danes. It's sensitive, subtle and purged of stadium rock manners. An obvious acquaintance for fans of The Walkmen and other bitter-about-life male bands. Larsen & Furious Jane's days as a well-kept secret should be over soon. As long as Torsten Larsen promises not to give up the dark outlook, which lights up on each of the band's releases. Tip: the band gives away their two latest albums Zen Sucker and Dolly as downloads on momowave.org Links Back | ![]() Intelligent, well-written indie rock. |
