NASUM (S)Roskilde Festival is – as a longstanding home of extreme metal – naturally included on Nasum’s farewell tour. The Swedish band is responsible for some of the most exquisite musical punishments of the fast grindcore genre. Their music is more churning and sickening than a series of graphic chainsaw massacres. The often ultra-short sonic attacks have made Nasum one of the genre's finest. The band's vocalist Mieszko Talarczyk died during the tsunami in 2004. Keijo Niinimaa from the grind mates Rotten Sound now delivers the vocals instead. As they emphasise themselves: this is no corny reunion. Just a worthy farewell from a recognised grind band that will leave a smoking black hole in the middle of the genre map.
