Quick guide for the search
- Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
- Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
- Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Iron Maiden would be THE best rock/metal gig for me, but at the same time I feel like we already have enough rock/metal headliners now with that oldschool sound. |

Hmm, wasn't realy reffering to the heavy sound as much as the oldschool sound. And you're right that Mötorhead, Maiden, AIC, TCV don't have the same sound at all, but I feel that they appeal to the same type of people, which when booking, is inevitably something you must consider. We need some headliners for all tastes, else the festival won't sell I say bring Jay-Z and Justice or The Prodigy (I know I've said this alot |

For the first time in my life I wish I was American. Iron Maiden with Dream Theater as warm up act would probably be something like the best concert ever, both being among my very favorite bands. Oh well, I guess this means I'll have to travel to Bergen in August, and hopefully I'll get to see Dream Theater at some point too. Still lots of good bands out there for Roskilde though. |

Hm, let's compare grunge to NWOBHM, which was a movement of several different rock/metal sounds just happening to become popular at about he same time, and prog rock that's been around for about 40 years, and though it's definitely changed a bit, many of the same characteristics are still there. I like to think grunge is somewhere in between these. It definitely has some special characteristics compared to other rock, but it was more of a wave, seeing most grunge bands either broke up or changed their style quite a bit in the mid to late 90's. Grunge "happened" in the late 80's/early 90's, but it's still around as an underground genre, something that you can't really say about NWOBHM. |

Second; if you compare Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains musically and try to put them under the same style you will understand it's completely ridiculous to call it a genre. " "grunge" was a mainstream media term to give "grunge" bands a "label" back in the 90's - no so-called "grunge" band do or did refer to themselves as "grunge". Pearl Jam's "Corduroy" and Nirvanas "In Bloom" were a reactions to that, among many others." Just forget about it. They're in Canada and USA and won't fly to Roskilde for a single concert. That would cost some extra millions I suppose... try three times more than a regular show |

Well, with that wonderful aircraft of theirs it's not completely impossible, and there is a 3 day gap between June 30th and July 3rd. But the chances look very slim indeed. Though if the graspop rumour is true, there's still a very tiny chance. |

Yeah, and if Mr. Dickinson takes it easy on the booze, then they don't need a pilot either! Having a show on the Discovery Channel is totally metal. |

But I would be happy if there is a miracle and they're booked |
