Quick guide for the search
- Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
- Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
- Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

This year we got something stolen in our camp constantly, people think that because the Roskilde campsite is one big chaos, its okay to steal from other peoples camps. We got our diskokugle, clothes, many chairs, beers, vodka, car batteries, trækvogn, presenninger and probably many other things that I dont remember, stolen. People often tried to steal from our camp, even when we were in the camp ourselves. The most outrageous thing was when a guy took the hat of my friend (when he was wearing it), and ran a way with it - my friend couldnt catch him..... Many of my friends in other camps reported similar things happening in their camps. This ridiculous low life loser 'trend' has come to far. The first days of Roskilde it didnt bother me too much, but after a few days with ongoing stealing, I started to get really pissed off, and I two times almost got into fights with people, because some people thought they could just walk into our camp and take what they liked. Something needs to be done that can change peoples mindset towards stealing, I hope Roskilde will make some sort of ''stop stealing'' campaign in 2012. If the stealing continous next year, with the same ''this-is-Roskilde-Im-allowed-to-steal-what-I-want'' attitude, Im gonna freaking punch somebody so hard in their face.. I hate people that makes our world, and especially Roskilde, a worse place to be... I guess Im not the only one that experienced stealing this year? |

Hi This is definitely something that we experience people on the campinggrounds do not find "fun" at all. We have tried to word the problem a bit in our Camp Codex, since there seems to be quite a few people who thinks that "when it's just stealing rubber palm trees and canvas, it's not really stealing, it's just for fun". This is of course not the truth, since a lot of campers use A LOT of energy building their camp. Chaos, freedom an wild energy is supercool - but when it ends up in "harmless stealing" it really isn't cool anymore. Anyway, I can guarantee you that it is an area that the festival is focusing on. I'm pretty sure that the "just for fun thieves" are not really neither evil, nor particularly selfish people - they just are not aware of how pissed or sad people actually get when they have their disco interior nicked. If you are interested in putting more focus on the subject and possible solutions, come to you camp workshop in Copenhagen -> http://roskilde-festival.dk/nyheder/singlenews/deltag-i-udviklingen-af-roskilde-festivals-campingomraade/ (danish text) regards Bo (Roskilde Festival) |

I have to say I found this problem to be ridiculous as well. We got our flags stolen many times this year. At first I thought it was politically motivated such as when our flag got destroyed 2010 (We have the NATO flag which bothered one particular festival visitor). Now though it sounds as if this is a general problem which needs to be dealt with. This is why this year we are going with the policy of both becoming a mobile camp (Roving around the campsite joining random people for parties and fun) and we will be keeping everything we don't bring with us either in our tents or the luggage deposit. This is just absolutely ridiculous because we had to invest in new flags and a new pole and then that gets stolen again leaving us without the ability to buy new ones. This was one thing which was essential to our camp so that other Icelanders which we had told about the camp would be able to find us. Now it won't be flying unless we are awake and will be taken down and tucked away when we are not at the camp. I just noticed this year that there seemed to be a very careless attitude in some festival goers with some people behaving in a way that shows an utter lack of respect for others. Same rule goes for my camp and my home. I do not want my shit to get stolen or vandalized while I'm not looking. This is an attitude that needs to change now. |

Just out of curiosity, where did you camp? We camped one year in C, where thefts were rampant. Several cellphones, a lot of beer and a heap of other shit was stolen from us. Two crates of beer were literally lifted out of my hands while I was carrying it home by eight or ten guys (this was when the beer came in handy sixpacks in the crates). The past three years, we've been camping out in E, and the most annoying thing, we've had to cope with were broken flagpoles. Nevertheless, your stories really leave me with the impression that there is a massive problem in some areas of the camping site. |

We were camping at P, which hasn't been a problem area before, usually it's been fairly quiet and tame (not to mention empty). Not sure what changed this year... |

My stuff does not get stolen because I keep it in my tent(s)... If you leave a crate of beer, or a camping chair in you're camp when you are not there I would say it is the same as just giving it away.. If poeple are taking stuff from your tent it is a big problem, but I have never experienced things like that... |

I don't see how people can take the Orange Feeling campaign and turn it into "lets steal and vandalize people's shit." The whole idea of the Orange Feeling is "have fun and take care of each other." I do not see allowances in that for breaking/stealing people's flags, spraypainting and/or pissing on people's tents, and other inconsiderate festival behavior. Honestly I would be more than willing to pay to be part of a Roskilde security force where such behavior receives immediate removal from the festival and cutting of their wristband. Or maybe I'll just start staying up all night until early morning listening intently for such activities and jump out of my tent in true Icelandic hillbilly style to lay down the law. I hope the festival has some sort of comprehensive plan to deal with these sorts of problems, because this is one thing which can really negatively influence ones festival experience. |

This has just gotten worse during the years, so whatever plan they have it is not working. The main reason is they are not decisive enough. You fuck up, you get another chance |

The last couple of years there has been banners all over the campsite saying ''orange feeling bla bla''. I hope Roskilde will add some anti-stealing slogans to these banners in 2012 |

Its sad that some of you had share such negative experiences. Our flagpole has also been broken by some idiots in 2010 in area P, but last year has been relaxed. Its always important to get in touch with the camps around you to build some kind of aliance. I am especially sad to hear that your flag got stolen Andri. I remember the good times at our camp when you offered us shark and the slightly drunk afternoon naked in your pool. Lets all focus on the positive experiences but lets keep an eye open at the same time. |

Its a shame that stealing is a problem at Roskilde. But you should clean your camp for everything other than thrash when leaving it. Drunk youngster will always have a tendency to collect trophees. Stealing from tents is a much bigger problem and apparently groving problem. And then a little reqeust for the RF organizers: No more official slogan banners and announcements about the 'Orange Feeling' Please! You will end up killing it altogether! |

"Do you have intentions of stealing other peoples stuff while at the festival? yes__ no__ maybe__" everyone who is answering "yes" or "maybe" will be baned! |

Banning all Gypsies and teenagers? That's a pretty good idea. I'm with you all the way! Anyways: Are we supposed to feel sympathy for the Gypsies who steal (which doesn't include all om them) because it's unpleasant to go through our stuff? |

Well if you can catch them, then beat up the bitches.. In 2010 we caught 2 polish guys trying to steal our boomblaster, when we asked them to stop they hit my friend in the face, and he broke a tooth. And then we chased them around area L, when I caught the guy how broke my friends tooth, I hit the motherfucker 1 time in the face, and he didnt woke up the first 2 min. I think that is the best way to stop them from stealing, and then report them to the police like we did :p |

Once a friend of mine cought an asshole on our tents, but he didn´t even look at mine. I guess he thought nothing could be found in an open tent. Is it good to keep a small lock on your tent, or does that just invite assholes to break in? [This article was edited 1 times, at last 05.03.2012 at 16:25.] |

One time in the 90's... 1996 I think, one of my friend's whole tent disappeared, and everything in it. not a nice thing to notice when coming to sleep at night that your tent and all your stuff is gone. f**k! So these things happened also in the "good ole'days" ! |

With a lock, the tent will have to be cut open, and that should be enough for the insurance to cover. But on the other hand, would you like your tent to get cut open? |
