Can anybody recommend some good songs/albums to get into her music with? I find it very hard to get into, but have heard that she has great concerts, so would like to try it out
I find Homogenic a great album to start with
great announcement, she was really a joy in ´07!
Thanks I started with Biophilia today, and liked a few songs. Can't say I'm a fan yet though

You started the wrong place, mate. Listen to Debut, Post and Homogenic... all three way more accessible than Biophilia. After Homogenic all her albums are very hard to get into, but they're the kind that grows on you with time.

Thanks. You used the word I've been looking for: Accessible I find her music very un-accessible, but it has potential

Yay! Great announcement! Springsteen is probably next up hopefully followed by Metallica, and then we're already way ahead of last year's lousy headliners.
In the Björk announcement it says that more music will be coming in the near future, so yeah I guess Springsteen will be coming soon, maybe even tomorrow as it's December 1st?? No point in waiting any more now that it's more than just a rumour...
If they follow up Bruce by announcing Metallica, I can't a better start headliner-wise! Even though Björk is not my cup of tea (have just discovered a couple of songs on Biophilia that i like though), it's looking STRONG
EDIT:
I guess a reason to wait with Bruce is that they may fear selling too many tickets to people who just want to see him.
I will be very happy if we will get also Metallica

Pretty stoked about this even though I haven't really heard much of her music. Now I finally have a great reason to start listening! Roskilde is shaping up pretty nicely if you count the boss

Haven't heard much Björk, however with Spotify now in Denmark, it'll certainly make it easier to make a playlist with unfamiliar artists.. Good to be back on the forum again after some much need rest,

Björk ??!
Still waiting for The Boss...
Will be the greatest name ever in Roskilde (together maybe with U2, but only maybe)

Just heard both Debut and Post on Spotify and I'm pretty stoked about it now. Was planning on seeing her anyways, but I think she's a must-see now

I'm amazed. This is indisputably a good booking. Not too surprising given she's kind of a roskilde regular, but satisfying nonetheless.
For you unfamiliar with her, I'd just take 45 mins of my life to listen through Homogenic.

Weiss, no offense, but brining negativity to a thread dedicated to an artist, which it seems like very many people enjoy/will enjoy doesn't really accomplish anything.
Yes, Weiss' post is the most negative post I've ever read on this forum. Good you called him out for it.
I mean, what could be next? "No, way!" or the like. We just can't have that here on a forum.
Get in line Weiss!

I can fully recommend her two first albums, but after that I kind of lost interest. I will probably see her show, and she is a bigger headliner than lets say Portishead last year.

Too right that is!
With Springsteen and Metallica, and not so much Bjørk for my taste, it's a LOT better than last year.
Springsteen is just the very, very best live.

Pretty damn excited about bjork bring announced.
Bit of a bjork obsessive and went to 3 of her shown in Manchester this year which was fantastic. Only reason I missed the first 2 was I was at rock werchter.
So thinking if coming to roskilde this year.
Have a listen to vespertine, my favourite bjork album.

I don't know her material very well but her playing this year's festival is as good an excuse as any to get to know it.
And thanks for the various inputs on where to start
