If you look closely in todays "The Sound Of Roskilde" quiz, there has been "added a new artist today"..
Which is...
Bon Iver! The hope and guess of many

Looking good roskilde!! Really liking the 2 (3 with the Boss) first announcements! Have been totally blown away by Björk and so far I'm really digging the album Bon Iver. Haven't heard For Emma Forever Ago yet..

Get on spotify and listen to it NOW!
If you're into Bon Iver, then it's completely amazing. Also, I can strongly recommend checking out all the Bon Iver related stuff that Blogotheque has on youtube (anything they have in general is amazing). Stuff like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5Swa9CYgRk
But sweat! I'll definently be waiting 5/6 hours for that too ... and with bjork, most of my roskilde is taken so far T.T

I consider For Emma Forever Ago to be the better album of the two.
Not that Bon Iver is a bad album - For Emma Forever Ago is simply a masterpiece

I don't know much about him, but he seems like a strong addition to the lineup and one of the most wished artists.
How big a name is he: Is he a possible headliner?

Most probably sub-headlining material.

That was my first impression as well.
But bearing in mind that PJ Harvey headlined in 2011 Bon Iver could be a headliner in 2012.

Harvey has a bigger history than Bon Iver, I think. I don't think they can push off Bon Iver as a headliner, though I wouldn't mind it.

Headliner!? wtf... Due to his popularity he might get a sub spot, but he's not at all big enough for a headline spot...

Odeon??? No way, definitely Arena, I see Bon Iver as this years equivalent of Band of Horses 2008, Fleet Foxes 2009 and Bright Eyes 2011.

For me this is a really good booking. And I can't wait to see them play. I reckon they will play Arena as a subliner.
When comparing to PJ Harvey you have to remember that Bon Iver was formed in 2007 and have only made two LPs and an EP. While PJ Harvey has a long history with her first of eight LPs dating back to 1992.

Really great booking! I've seen Bon Iver twice, both were great concerts! The first time was at Øya 09, then they only played songs from For Emma... and Blood Bank EP.. The second time was at the Pitchfork festival in Paris, maybe the best concert I've been at. Can't wait to see them again!!
